So doing these comparisons over short time, with relatively small numbers is probably not indicative of much other than an unfortunate cluster in one country and pot luck elsewhere.

I think it's safe to say that we're a long way behind Singapore anyway?

For a tiny island, to be so far up the list of total deaths is a pretty bad reflection of how things were dealt with here. Let's hope it doesn't get too far out of hand. Right now, it doesn't look good.

NY times open sourcing their data on cases. Would be great if we have something similar. I know there is the dashboard that they have which is ok. It's at county level.

Yes, you’re right. We have not done as well as Singapore. Happy? Can you acknowledge that we’re doing better than our close neighbours in NI and the UK, not to mention across the pond in the US?

We are unlikely to be among the very best countries at dealing with this, but we’ll also be far from the worst.

I am finding the news reporting on this quite confusing. Boris Johnson has tested positive for COVID-19 and has said he's showing mild symptoms, yet, according to various news reports, is only self-isolating for 7 days.

That seems highly irresponsible, if accurate.

He could infect the entire cabinet office.

Much like in Italy things have turned seriously grim in Madrid. Over 65's essentially being euthanised due to a lack of respirators, staff being told to put on a brave face at work and cry when they're at home.

Difficult to imagine this kind of horror and we could only be a couple of weeks away.

It's still a very poor message to send out to someone who might just do exactly the same while symptomatic, without access to testing.

7 days is the guidance in the UK.

14 days for someone who lives with someone showing symptoms as you account for a 7 day incubation period.
