There is a Dr. on This Morning who is on day 10 of having Coronavirus symptoms, she is back practicing as a GP and is back in studio. Wow what a lockdown.

I was looking at that aswell very slow recovery. I saw an interview a couple home from skiing in France the husband is discharged wife still in hospital 18 days later. Takes a long recovery doesn't it.

I could be wrong but I think people who have the virus but are self isolating are not being tested after the 14 days elapse

RTE: New restrictions will see fewer people going out to work

We are slowly but surely getting there ourselves with non-essential closures already but the likes of the construction industry in particular are going to need some sort of government enforcement to really nip this in the bud.

Yup sadly construction companies can have all the toolbox talks and new procedures they like, it's nigh impossible to keep ensure its adhered to on site especially busy ones. It's not nessecarily the work out in the open, it's the in and out of portacabins or the work essentially indoors doing fit out etc.

For some sites it's feasible to keep going but, it won't be a case by case won't cut it.

Exactly.....not everyone has same symptoms....even more reason that she should have believed that it absolutely could be Covid....

Fever is one sign.....it's not D only sign, and it's not a sign that HAS to be present....

I knew that weeks ago.....and I am not presenting bloody programmes on it...

But she did? Which is why she self isolated immediately and got herself tested. How this that being dismissive? Her initial symptoms were that of a head cold, but she got herself tested anyway.

The number of cases of coronavirus in Italy is probably 10 times higher than the official tally of almost 64,000, the head of the agency that is collating the data said.

    Thats over half a million.

I had really bad diarrhea from last Wednesday evening until Sunday along with constant stomach cramps, was somewhat cold but no fever or cough and I'm fine now.

Has anyone experienced the same and been referred for twstt. Don't wanna bother the doctor with ringing. Have been off work anyway since Friday last

There appears to be no consistent or universal symptoms to coronavirus apart from maybe a cough. Some infected eg Claire Byrne have reported no high temperature or fever.

What you had may or may not be coronavirus, but if you are noticing anything out of the ordinary with your health its safer to assume you have covid and try to self isolate.

No they’re not? I’ve actually never seen my local shops as fully stocked as they have been. Stop scaremongering

Guys my GP isn’t answering. Phone or email. I have symptoms. HSE website gives no other way to arrange testing. Any ideas for help?

Italy is closer to achieving the herd immunity than any other nation in the world.

That tallies with what Dr John Campbell has been saying on his Youtube channel.

His rule of thumb has been the same - "official cases" times ten

Seemingly a fever isn't present all the time and if it is, .manifests itself after a few days. They should be saying ANY cold/flu symptoms.isolate

They have been saying...nobody is saying that you have to have this or that combination of symptoms....

There is no exact formula of symptoms....there are folks out there with no symptoms that have the illness.

She had head and cold like symptoms......and thinks, because I have no fever, I am ok.....utter stupidity from someone who absolutely should have known better...

I guess even if it does happen the media aren't going to report it, after the 2011 riots people are going to be very wary of this behaviour spreading. And before we all start 'yea those brits ...' , in 2018 all it took here was a bit of snow and gangs were breaking into supermarkets using JCBs.

    Fantastic video...

I love all the Med Cram stuff. Some of it is a little high brow but in general its very good.

In summary for those who wont watch it, tests on monkeys suggest that most people will hopefully have immunity to this strain of the virus once they recover. Very few should get it again. Also, they are working on testing for people who had it and recovered which will help work out the percentage of the population who have immunity. Once over 50-60% have had this virus the pace at which it grows should decline as it has less vehicles to transport it. I wonder is that why some governments were foolishly playing chicken with the bug at the start and quoting the herd immunity theory of between 50-60%!

Is there not an argument for keeping some restaurants and take aways open? Lots of people on the roads, trucks, deliveries, etc, and they need to eat. Important to keep the supply chain well oiled.

After all this is over Holohan will get his ass handed to him for not releasing contact tracing.
I've never understood this constant need for some people to hope others fail, especially where it does not match their own worldview.

Hopefully this is true, it means we can divide the mortality rate by a factor of 10 as well.

Yep, that's the only reason why a highly contagious viruses is spreading. Keep it up, the more you post the more people realise you should be ignored.

that would correspond to the relative "success" of this virus ( in purely evolutionary terms) - a virus that kills all of it's hosts won't spread rapidly.

SARS-COV-2 seems to have hit a sweet spot in terms of rapid transmission.
( i.e. most folks probably don't even realise they are carriers)

You have to assume anyone you meet in public has it. If you're not thinking in that way then you're doing social distancing wrong and you are part of the problem.

Not the government. Nobody is stopping you from staying indoors for months on end. The government aren't your parents. Take care of yourself and cop on.

The disease is spreading because people are not adhering to social distancing. Even if accurate numbers were given that would not change the first sentence.
