Delayed results help keep numbers down.

No, it's just that the numbers are not 'live'.

    There's no conspiracy here.

People queuing in Douglas Cork for McDonald's closing at 7pm. Morons.

It's pretty pathetic, now if it was Son of Bun on McCurtain Street, I might understand the panic.

Regardless of the number of tests completed , the important figures are the numbers in Hospital/ICU and so far they appear to be on the low-end of the scale which is something of a positive.

    how bad are you?
Had a heavy headache on Thursday 12/03, called in sick for work on that day. The Friday/Saturday night after that i woke up bathing in sweat in the middle of the night, very dizzy and slightly fainted in the bed, but could sleep on afterwards. No further fever since then, but continuous coughing. Feeling that I'm slightly getting better since last Saturday.

You're saying Claire Byrne was tested outside normal protocol? You'd better be able to back that slur, as she stated last week that she was self isolating, awaiting a test and only got results today. Her tests, on showing symptoms, and results have taken as long as everybody else.

I was sure I read Claire was negative earlier i.e. last week on a thread here

40,000 waiting, some from 16th of March, I just wonder how Ciara and Claire got tested and resulted faster than others, Ciara has asthma so probably priority at risk

What makes you think they got tested faster than others?

I imagine they got tested faster than the current turn around but there is a pretty simple explanation for that.

What time is the Emergency Meeting tomorrow, anyone know?

219 is still less than expected and keep in mind that these cases would have been infected prior to any measures we put in place.

This week is a big one, we will see figures like today and probably larger but the key is to stagger the cases in the hospitals.

Let's keep the incase under 30% or as close to for as long as possible.

Yes there is a delay in testing but thats down to the testing threshold now being lowered, it'll take time to clear but anyone waiting for a test will be already in self isolation so if any of them are tested positive then they'll already have limited contacts.

We have a huuge pharmactuical industry, why are we not subbing out some test reading to their labs??

That takes time they need to make sure they have the right equipment and and accreditation last thing we need is false negatives. Now is not the time to cut corners

Updated for you, total cases figure now rules out deaths and recoveries:

Not at all. I predict top 8 finish. We normally do well in the first competitions with enter.

Lads was their horse racing on today behind closed doors? Disgrace if so. How is it possible to keep 2m apart when one or more people have to bring the horse into the track to race etc. There is still a risk of spreading coronavirus.

Given that the numbers are on a lag of 2/3 days, really irrelevent if out by a few.
Will this dampen the obsession with splitting hairs over numbers going on? It's getting painful.

Unfortunately it will probably take a week of big increases to keep the people with small brains from crowding fast food establishments at the weekend
