I do have to laugh at people complaining of others out yet they are out too, if we don't go in large groups and keep social distancing we can all get out for a walk, some fresh air but maybe time has come for stricter lockdown only one out for groceries and medicine, the bare essentials

Nothing wrong with going out. Getting out and maintaining mental wellbeing is important. But ffs stay away from people.

It's the absolute muppets (that's being kind) going to popular places or following crowds that are fooking it up.

That queue for Beshoffs is a prime example of muppetary in action.

These people are unnecessarily prioritising fish and chips over a very serious virus. But no they have to get their feed in the middle of a global health pandemic instead of exercising common sense by going home and making a sandwich.

Extremely stupid and dangerous people. This disruption is only for a few months hopefully. They need to cop on.

    It hasn't.

It's a hypothesis with an exceptionally weak case.

The take is their not sure how much the body makes antibodies for this and actually how long it lasts,

With most coronaviruses immunity will last a year maybe 2 they still dont know about this 1. People has got reinfected with this though

How do the you know you can't get reinfected?

Listen folks you can believe what you like but if you want others to believe you post a link to some sort of reputable source.

I should of been clearer it's not the bus I'm worried about it's being in work. I'm in an office but there's loads of us in there. I heard they are doing social distancing though so hopefully it's ok. I'm just a worrier. Sorry for the small rant and my own personal stupid woes.

Not stupid at all. If at all possible your employer should be encouraging people to work from home. That's gov advice. Unless they need to be open they shouldn't be

Just read a story that President Macron threatened to close border with UK if they didn't get their act together.

Yeah apparently they pressured him into everything since Friday. Basically told them they'd cut them off

I prefer Savlon but have not seen it for years, does it still exist?

TCP is fantastic stuff. It stinks and kinda smells of a hospital and will definitely help with social distancing.

Watch the covid-19 numbers escalate even faster a week from now. Ridiculous.

I always thought Irish people had some cop on and were generally fairly intelligent.
Those assumptions have well and truly been blown out of the water now.

There is a serious amount of thick fks out there

Passenger flights should be stopped coming in, it's the only way to contain the virus. UK and US will be a mess soon

They have some at home and some coming in. I won't really know until tomorrow morning. The office is usually jammers but I was off most of last week so I don't know how well that have implemented the social distancing. I'm sure they have done a better job than I'm expecting. Just still a bit worried. Not so much for myself getting it. It's getting it and giving it to someone vunrable.

And some of these are the people who were bulk buying in the shops as well no doubt. Wouldn't do some of em harm to take a break from fish and chips and possibly food in general for a while.

What's the point in testing for the sake of it. Leave if to people with symptoms and the contact tracing.
well if you knew everybody who has it then you could work from there. A lot of the present testing is shooting in the dark. I dare say by the time they get around to testing some people they are already over it and negative. Bear in mind Ireland is full of hypochondriacs who think they have every ****ing ailment under the sun. ;)

Fireworks going off here - have they discovered a cure? Hopefully by November 5th this isn't half as bad as we're thinking it will be.

International psychological studies data suggests up 15% of a population won't act in the common interest if it inconveniences them, but that they can be induced to conform by peer pressure. AFAIR

Where have you got this information from? There are certainly examples of people getting a second "bout" but AFAIK it has never been established if any had been completely clear of the original virus
