I agree it’s time to get it done

    It isn't.

Its unenforceable anyway so the notion of it just breeds fear and isolation, without any beneficial impact.

We just need legislation to administer summary justice to stupid people.

Great news and most new cases are contracted in the household, looks like we’re getting control of this.

Yes, so waste of gloves. Would people think they're safe wearing the gloves and not wash their hands after taking off the gloves?
That's what a nurse told me yesterday.

    Another death :(

121 additional cases. Testing to ramp up to 4,500 per day from tomorrow, up from 2,000 per day previously. You'd expect more cases with more than double the testing.

Finally I have something on tests per day...

Almost double the amount to be tested per day.

    150-180 tomorrow I’d say..

As Harris said, go out and do your exercise, go for a walk etc but, keep your distance from people.

Quite strange how people can't grasp that. I seen it today myself.
Then again, I did have a co-worker come straight back into work after a week in Europe

Are we the only country in Europe that seems to be keeping the numbers down?

Does Ireland have 29 in ICU from CV? That's some jump and you can knock me down with a feather right now. It was 13 the other day.
Yes HSE briefing this morning upped it to 29

29 in all of Ireland or just ROI?

Because there are still members of our society who continue to behave irresponsibility and not taking the precautions to slow the spread

A small minority.... give the majority of the country some credit FFS. As long as MOST people do the right things we'll be fine. Stop worrying about a tiny minority out getting some fresh air on a smashing spring day. They're unlikely to be the ones spreading it.

It is and will be enforcable.

We need nothing of the sort. We have new emergency legislation to deal with this epidemic. And all because SOME people didn't get the message and refuse to take the matter seriously for society. They are locked in their own selfish importance and don't like being inconvenienced. It was Italy's problem too. Spain same.

Does anyone think that they’re getting us so used to this social distancing business because this is the way it’s going to be until a vaccine is developed ? Restrictions on schools may be lifted in the coming months however I think social distancing is here to stay , it’ll be the new way of life until a vaccine comes about.

    Netherlands numbers vs Italy numbers
Italy introduced total lockdown on the 9 March to flatten the curve.
What will the Netherlands do now ?

There were rumors of a death in UHK earlier today. Might not have made todays numbers if true.

It would be great to see that level of increase continue as the CMO said yesterday.

I’m practically isolating already apart from work and shop, shouldn’t be enforced the words lockdown should be enough

We need to do this before the numbers get too big , it’s a bit late for fear and isolation half the population already have this and lockdown might just get the other half to get with it

Most people have stayed away from me all my life so I'm well skilled in the art of isolation.
Knew it would come in handy some day

The Netherlands are currently only testing people who have been admitted to hospital. They’re not admitting anyone who’s not critically ill. They won’t even let them into the hospital.
