    The patient was elderly, had an underlying medical condition and was being treated in hospital.

    It is random. It doesn't just aggressively attack the elderly or those with underlying health conditions. Its viral load is random.

    Hope u will be okay & get better. Its a difficult time for us all, going to work, trying to keep distance, isolating etc. Can I ask have you been very careful about how you went to work, hand washing ettiquette, how do you feel you picked it up. It seems to come as a surprise to all.

    The hotels are completely empty and will be for the foreseeable. The gov could not only take them over, but also give them a degree of compensation which might just keep them afloat

    Where were the stats saying that it only affects older people and people with underlying conditions taken from? Yes I agree that it means some people are complacent and not taking it seriously due to this.

    Absolutely. It’s so undignified. Some of his suggestions are good but they’re wrapped in a bouquet of bitterness. If there wasn’t such an antagonist slant to his tweets, he might get more people listening. His grudge against the Irish government is so obvious.

    See what it is anyway, I'll try keep an eye out for your reply but it moves so fast it's ridiculous. If there's some way I could help even with compiling data I will, although I have not lost my job so I would also be mindful of taking a place of someone who needs a job more than me. That's bureaucracy for you

    Most of the hotels in Cork are actually closed down for the duration, surprised they haven't done the same in Dublin. Down in west cork at the moment and pretty much all the pubs are closed which I wasn't expecting either. Seems to be a high enough rate of compliance in this county

    Not silly at all, there are plenty of conditions that hit different populations: Ireland has a high number of people with Coeliac disease, Ashkenazi Jews get Gaucher disease, African-Americans have much higher number with Type 2 Diabetes.

    Because he wanted the Irish government to invest huge amounts of money into his web summit which happens once a year and when they said no because it was a private event, he threw his toys out of the pram and upped and left. Ever since then all he's done is criticise

    I'd have no issue with that. But "commandeering" them I would have an issue with. I got annoyed with some people yesterday who were demanding Starbucks close down. Eh, its a business, if you don't want to go then don't. The same people will be moaning that there's no jobs in a few weeks time. Business owners cannot simply shut their doors just the same as world leaders cannot just make what seems like the most sensible decisions. Its not black and white for everyone as much as it may seem that way from your armchair.
