The flight radar is very interesting. You can click on each individual plane and see where it came from and destination.

2 cases in the Gaza strip, how will Israel respond?

Gaza Strip has been on lockdown for years.

They're hiding serious numbers over there. Reporting low ICU numbers and high deaths. It doesn't make any sense. Sounds like reality is starting to hit.

Sounds like they’re picking who gets to icu.

Where did Leo get the figure of 10000 by end if March? Italy had 35000 on 17th, we were 2 weeks behind according to experts when he made this statement. Our pop is circa 8% of Italy. Going by Italian figures we should be around 3k by end of March. Am I missing something?

Take the figure on the day and increase it by 30% every day

Absolutely.... all the more reason therefore for covid to continue. But I'm being cynical... I do agree even anecdotally the garden is much more pleasant without cars and planes going overhead. We can all see those benefits even in a short space of time. I'm trying to look at an explanation for her lack of presence.

Well considering a huge junk of air miles is for business maybe companies will cop onto the fact over the next few months it's not always nessescary.

Ffs I work in an office and there is a team of consultants that fly over on Monday home again Friday from the North of England. They spend a almost a day of their working week travelling, doing something they could easily do from their own office, theses aren't super skilled people either.

People are busting their ass making the working from home work for them and quickly discovering the best ways of collaborating and working intuitively.
My own company prided it's self in innovation and environmental matter but we're in the dark ages regarding remotely working. In the space of 3 weeks we've turned that right around.

Hopefully when all this is done and if we still have jobs that businesses will get with.

I cant remember where I read it, will try find it. It said that emissions from cars etc. only stay in the atmosphere for a few days so are not a big problem in tackiling climate change generally but they do give us a constant shield from the sun (without which the planet would be up to 2 degrees higher)

What you read is utter bs. Pollution acts as a blanket trapping heat. That's a very basic description but that's exactly what pollution does. Why do you think the ice caps are melting.

Why are the planes different colours now?

    Only changed recently.

If you take today's figure of 785 and add 30% each day you reach 14,000 approx on the 31st March. That's with 2 lower figures over the past two days. Just to note we had a figure of 90 or so on Wednesday, then 191 on Thursday, so there are ups and downs. Due to variables like amount tested.

3 deaths so far is good work but the system can be overwhelmed easily with exponential growth. Ppl have to adhere to guidance.

Uk paying 2500 pounds a month to people who lost job due to virus. 203 euro a week in Ireland. Sad
Not true. It’s 80% of your monthly salary up to £2,500/ month.

If you were on £1,000/ month, your “COVID dole” will be £800

You would only get £2,500 if you were making £3,130 (or higher) before you lost your job

30% a day increase on the figure that day. It's simple maths.

I am stunned . A friend of mine who lives in Berlin just flew from Dublin to Berlin . She is 66 with two under lieing conditions and waltzed off the plane to her home . I would have thought Germany was much more on it than that

If there was a 10% average increase each day (optimistic) then it would be 3000

I dont know, would the reason be that we are testing alot more than they were per capita? We have been far quicker of the mark than Italy as they were the 1st in Europe.

Just looking at how things are going. Is it more likely that we'll be at around 2000 - 3000 at the end of the month rather then 15000. I'm just looking at most other countries with a similar population to us seem to have daily increases of infected people a lot less then countires with higher population.

I feel this will be good news for us. I'd predict less then 4000 by the end of March.

Unfortunately Ireland does not look after people who have been laid off from their jobs temporarily due to unforeseen circumstances or been let go.

Ireland rewards the long term unemployed with no intention of ever working.

I'm pretty sure Dr Holohan said he would consider 2000 at the end of the month a good number.
