People should be sharing these numbers on there Facebook day by day and getting encouraging frie ds to do there upmost to help reduce it every day, Stay in and stay apart its working let's ramp our efforts up

Just because you have never heard of it doesn't really make a difference. North Italy is a rich area and they have am excellent health system.

As I say, don't read too much into it however I think we should be seeing some impact of social distancing already given that new cases do incubate and get tested before 14 days. But yes, lets hold on to our hats still and not be surprised if it trends up again. But also take good signs and feel a bit of relief too, for a moment, that it might not get as bad as worst case.

Exactly. Italy which has had much stricter containment measures for longer is still struggling control the number of news cases.

To me there is no doubt we are still in an exponential growth phase, and the numbers are likely doe to statistical anomaly or the testing policy.

These 102 people developed symptoms over 7-14 days. It took 3-7 days to get referred and tested and another 4-6 days to get results. These cases are about 3 weeks to a month old.
The current infection rate is far far higher.
