What are the chances of hotels/restaurants closing and public transport being stopped? Really hope it doesn’t get to that stage

It’s almost a certainty at this point.

Google pay and apple pay allow you to pay using your phone you just tap your phone rather than your car it also has the advantage of having no 30 limit

This does not work in Tesco, they are still in the stone age with their systems.

Wouldn't go through last night and had to put in physical chip and pin.

Does anyone have the link to the guy on twitter who compares Ireland and Italy in terms of cases?

Recommended reading for isolation: Margaret Atwood’s ‘Oryx and Crake’ which features a pandemic. Jean Paul Sartre’s ‘No Exit’. depiction of the afterlife in which three deceased characters are punished by being locked into a room together for eternity.

Because what I said is true.

There was no about turn, the U.K. has its plans to combat this just as Ireland does. Both governments are doing what it right for their own country.

Which is how it should be.

Over 99% of cornavirus patients in Italy who died had pre-existing health problems...OVER 99% ! ...With an average age of 80 years old....

The average age of those who died is very high because younger people are completely prioritised, it is important not take from this that it is only dangerous for very old people, as it will result in complacency amongst younger people. It clearly can be very dangerous to people as young as their 50's and 60's.

Dr Holohan says he doesn't expect social distancing to impact for a few days yet. The numbers will keep shooting up but it's around Sunday onward that we need to be watching for.

Just saw there that they're only testing those who are hospitalised in Northern Ireland? What's the logic there?

Can someone explain how takeaway isnt a risk? Like someone preparing and touching your food is ok?

All the Cheltenham punters who are sick at home with a bad dose will need something to watch for the next few weeks.

That didn't even originate in Spain...

There are very different reasons for that, and as much as you'd like to ignore context, most people don't.
