Serious question. They're not likely to follow any direction regarding this situation.

Is it a serious question, though? Are they any less likely to follow directions than the people cramming the pubs at the moment? Are they any less likely to live in 'big groups' than the rest of us living in Dublin/Cork/Limerick?

A shít take is still a shít take.

Let’s say we do go in to lockdown.

How does it work with getting your provisions from a shop.

How is it decided who goes to the shop and when etc

    Don't worry. That's a world away ( 3 weeks ). Relax.

Why? It’s cool to meet people from all over the world having the craic. Much better than sitting in some wannabe pretentious bar with the south Dublin clique. Wouldn’t go often but great for a different type of night when ya wanna see Dublin from a different perspective.

Because it's a rip off **** hole tourist trap. Nothing more.

There was also 75000 in Old Trafford and 60000 in Anfield this week, no complaints over that

The Anfield match was worse than Cheltenham. At least Cheltenham has some chance for separation of attendees, the away fans at Anfield came from Madrid and crammed into stands side by side.

Can't believe this virus is about to hit and factories are exporting MOST of the face masks that are being produced in the county to China and countries ,nobody can access them! Ireland is a disgrace that is about to be sorely exposed! No patriotism in this county or camaraderie, its all about contracts and money

We have a family dinner planned for Monday. 8 people. Two of them over 60.

    Would you go?

People please get the message, normal is on hold right now! Listen to the advice and stay at bloody home.

No matter how much you don't want it to be that's the reality. Normal might return if we can do this.

I make it 341 by 19th March applying an constant exponent of 1.275 to preceding days cases, from a start date of Feb. 24th. Resulting curve is a good fit though based on inadequate data points.

I think you 27.5% daily increase is a bit on the low side.

Was surprised to see my friend who lives in Singapore posting videos of a big street party there. Is the country clear of the virus now or?

For reference, I had listed some of the things they are doing which we don’t here: https://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=112832698&postcount=3007

It was a generic post about developed Asian countries, but I believe Singapore is doing most of that.

The eejits in Temple Bar have made it a certainty that pubs will be closed on St Patrick's Day.

We obviously have a subset of alcos and drunks who are incapable of following government guidelines, not even during a global pandemic.

It’s not even alcos and drunks.

You can guarantee most of them are entitled pricks who don’t like being told by the gubberment what they can and can’t do.

How many ventilators do we have in Ireland?
Is it 260 odd, the same number as ICU beds or is it more/less?
How many ECMOs do we have?
And are there enough trained staff to operate these or more if we got them?

Have we come across this ? 'Feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) is a viral disease of cats caused by certain strains of a virus called the feline coronavirus"

Apparently they treat cats with the new drug they are using to treat covid-19

It won't be that ordered. There'll be gardai outside each supermarket and everyone will stand a safe distance apart in a queue in the car park until they're ushered in.

Thanks I was diagnosed with an incurable cancer and last Halloween I had my last treatment. My birthday falls 2 days before the first anniversary of my treatment ending and I was hoping to be able to celebrate it in some way. My cancer will come back and I hope not while this virus is still doing the rounds.

    Sorry!
The comment by the other poster pathetic. Hope thing's work out for you!

I wonder are these the three cases in the 'Northwest'? I wouldn't normally describe Cavan that way but I don't know what other category you'd put it in...
It is classed as the northwest. Its high time we knew exactly where these cases are.

Apology accepted and if my birthday was in the next 2-4 months I would not have posted what I did. I want something to look forward to later in the year. I am seeing my Haemotologist on Thursday week for my first post treatment checkup and I hope its good news.
