Flights being suspended now too. Ryanair and Aer Lingus won't be flying to/from Italy until April 4th. That will mean the two games below get PP.

What only matters is who's 6th and 7th (Pro14 play-off and Euro Champions Cup play-off)

Hypothetically if the rest of the games in the regular season was to be declared as draws, the knockout stages would look like this:

QF1: Munster v Glasgow
QF2: Ulster v Scarlets

SF1: Leinster v Winner QF1
SF2: Edinburgh v Winner QF2

Champions Cup playoff: Connacht v Cheetahs

Good to see that we’d still be on for the traditional Leinster v Munster semi final in the RDS :P

I’d imagine that a more likely scenario is that draws will be awarded for as much of the remainder of the regular season as is required and then hopefully we’ll be in a position to resume and play the knockout stages. The regular season runs right to the end of May this year with the final being played in late June so there’s a bit more leeway than there would normally be.

Can we just get Munster and Edinburgh play their Edinburgh home game behind closed doors... Well you could probly leave it open and just have the crowd spread out nicely with 10 seats between them in murryfield...

Just to settle who tops that conference, I'm sick to death of fecking semi finals against fecking Leinster

Losing to them in the final would be a nice change.

Problem would be to restart before knock-out stages.
The 4 last games are favorable for some and not for others
but more probable regular season if off and we restart in June

Official statement from the Pro 14. Indefinite suspension.

The current Guinness PRO14 season has been suspended in response to the evolving COVID-19 outbreak.

The PRO14 is an international league. Cross border travel is inevitable and that brings with it unique challenges. With governments in Italy and Ireland already putting in place clear directives and restrictions around public activities and travel, the decision to suspend the competition is appropriate. It is in the best interests of everyone that games are not played at this time. The suspension has been directed by the board of Celtic Rugby DAC and will be remain under constant review.

David Jordan, Tournament Director PRO14 Rugby, said: “We have made this decision with everyone’s welfare foremost in our minds. With an evolving situation in the five countries that take part in Guinness PRO14 it is important to make a clear decision that is in keeping with the advice of the various governments involved.”

Resumption of the 2019/20 season will now become a matter of constant review. To this point PRO14 Rugby has ensured that it has the latest information and guidance made available by the local and national authorities via our participating unions in the UK, Ireland, Italy and South Africa.

This will remain the case for the duration of the suspension. This is an unprecedented action for the tournament and as such no end date to the suspension can be provided at this time.

In keeping with our practice during the outbreak, PRO14 Rugby will provide updates on the suspension when more information is available.

There will be several games that won't ever get played. Beat case scenario is they can resume mid April with games already scheduled and anything before that is 0-0

Anyone know of theres anything in Gordon Darcys article in the Irish Times yesterday saying a provincial team will be (or did he mean could be) in quarantine soon?

Season over and resume for play offs is the best to offer to clubs

final 8 games are more or less spread between difficult ones and easy ones between everbody

Around the world many People are seriously ill, or have died, sports all over the world are having to do this for the greater good and all your worried about is fairness. The single worst area IN Europe is a country that the 4 provinces have direct contact with. The health and well being of everyone is Whats at stake here

There is far more important things in life. Look at Dan Biggars interview regarding Matthew Watkins last weekend for some perspective.

Munster were in Italy a few weeks ago Feb 21st

Leinster v Saracens will be in empty stadium (RDS could be used ?) If the European season isnt abandoned

I'm not ashamed at all to have reacted to your stupidly unfair idea to start again mid-April.
I do hope financial interests (playing an added few games) does not prevail on sportive fairness (teams wtih easy 3 home games when others have hard opposition)

From mid April onwards there is scope to play the last 5 rounds as scheduled. With the Euro SF weekend that is a further round of matches that could be played (where possible).

It is inevitable the pro14 and EPRC will try to salvage what they can from the season. Clubs will want to salvage what they can too.

Clubs wants to avoid being kicked out of Champions Cup next season too.
That's called fairness

Look, simply look, if as you said, final 5 are played

Connacht would have 3 away hard to win (Treviso+Cardiff+Munster), when Treviso would have 3 winnable home (Connacht, Kings, Zebre)

When cancelled game were winnable for Connacht (Scarlets, Zebre, Glasgow), not for Treviso (Munster twice, Edinburg, away)

That's not slighly unfair. That's 100% unfair. Clubs would finish with 2 MORE away games than other, too. Nonsense. It could even be brought to court IMO

Should be season off, if we can't play behind closed doors. Full spot. Until play-off at least

It will probably anyway. China needed 2 months to open slowly collective events...
