3 Leicester players with suspected coronavirus....surely it's only a matter of time until the games are postponed

Two viable options - 1st is postpone until the summer.

Would love to have the entire summer to celebrate the 19th, better weather, better atmosphere. Hopefully this pandemic is under control by then.

2nd is Declare current standings as final.

I'm also happy with this :pac:

I'm just glad we won it in December, can you imagine the angst if it had been close?

If a 2 week suspension, and maybe 3-4 public lockdown kills the rapid spread of the virus, then I would be hopeful that the end of season could continue as normal.

We will have to see how Italy reacts I suppose. The sooner that UK issues a public lockdown, the better, and halt the rapid spread.

On a brighter note, unfollowing the CL thread proved cathartic

Can't see those 2 games going ahead to be honest

Of course they are going ahead, why wouldn't they, behind closed doors maybe

3 leicester players have shown symptoms of the virus, who is to say liverpool players won't get it either,or any other players for that matter,I hope I am wrong but I would be shocked if the two games go ahead

I find care about this less now, if the league is suspended for months so be it. Someone mentioned with Dessert World Cup coming it might be a good time to switch to a calender year season next year anyway.

34 Shots with only 11 on target. 72% possession.

AM 10 shots, 6 on target and 3 goals. 28% possession.

It was just as much as our finishing as well as our poor defending

Yeah thats the size of it, the front 3 lads had enough chances that it didnt even need to go to extra time. Salahs chance where he did all the hard work beating two players and cut inside to shoot should have been buried but went over the bar.

Really bad luck for us with Allisons injury, my heart sank when that news came through. Keepers dont get injured often and even less so in training and then right before a crucial CL tie on top.

Everton Monday is massive now. We've had problems against Ancelotti in the past and no doubt he is plotting to frustrate us.

Robbo header off the bar should have been the second goal.
Weekend games will be cancelled ,

L'Équipe saying that a meeting next Tuesday could postpone Euro 2020 until next year so that domestic leagues can finish up at a later date.

I think the likelihood that the league is postponed is quite high now. If players are getting tested, that's the end of it.

I'd be leaning more towards games at the weekend being suspended, rather than closed doors, if I had to bet.

If the league is suspended how will that affect Liverpool's title challenge?

Suspended till games are finished at a later date ,

The winter world cup is in 2 years so maybe we can push the start of next season out and start getting everything in line for the Winter world cup .

It probably won't. They only need 2 more wins. It'll just be later than expected.

It was amazing how many Man Utd fans in the office were keen to talk about last night's match.

never understood the logic of away goals counting in extra time. One side get 120 mins to score away goals whilst the other only has 90, its always been a contentious one in my opinion. Not just after last night of course :P

Yeah, but you could argue that the second leg team gets the advantage of playing the extra time at home.

Can hardly blame them some Liverpool fans have been beyond unbearable this season

Starting to suspect PL and CL, along with all the other pots and pans, will be cancelled. This virus could ease off during the summer and then come back with a vengeance in the autumn. The season 2020/21 won't start next season either.

Michael Stipe and the men from Athens to cheer everyone up.

No mention anywhere of any games being cancelled in England this wkend anyway

Looks like UK complacency and inaction is going to give Liverpool the opportunity to wrap this up.

Dependng no how long the virus shutdowns last, I'm guessing UEFA will postpone Euro 2020 and allow the leagues ane xtra month/six weeks to complete.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Yeah, watching Boris' press conference at the moment and they're essentially announcing nothing

If he does an interview wearing a Liverpool jersey awkwardly over his suit we are f**ked.

Honestly even as incompetent as we are here we are shutting down events. The dregs that will return from Cheltenham are another story tho.
