I wore a dress but there was two men in the waiting area and both were in suits. I don't think it's overkill at all.

Hi there. I hope that your interview went well. Was the exam difficult? Did they cover all competencies in the interview? I have my interview and exam in 2 weeks. Thank you.

This competition is dead as a doornail until covid crisis is passed. CO comp still running mainly to recruit for DEASP or other essential admin I'd say.

They would have to, not fair on candidates otherwise

Would there likely be recruitment embargo like last time there was a recession? I’m just waiting to be placed for a job but not holding my breadth now as assume if there’s a embargo, the whole thing will be scrapped

When is this panel due to expire? I don’t think it was stated in the campaign information booklet this time round.

End of January 2021. I emailed PAS about it in January/February.

Has anyone contacted PAS to find out if they are still recruiting?

Im resigned to writing this off, Im a born pessimist anyway (!!) but i can see an embargo kicking in after this. Hope im wrong obviously....

The County panel I am on hasn't moved since the beginning of February anyway.

    Below response from PAS

"We have no exact end date for this panel, however panels generally last 18months from inception."

I am waiting for an interview since February 2019 with little to no movement on two seperate county panels!

I know that PAS are looking at a system where remote interviews could be conducted during the crisis for however long it lasts..

That gives everyone hope it certainly gives me hope anyways! That shows they don't want to just abandon this comp!!

I was offered a post in Offaly last week. Turned it down as I'm on Westmeath panel and this location suits me better.

Did you contact them recently? There was some movement for Westmeath after Christmas but it must’ve stopped then. Very strange how slow it had moved for Westmeath before the Coronavirus considering the amount of civil service offices.

For those that did interview for the EO with Irish, how did ye find it? Was there also a written exam to complete on the day, and if so how was that?
