Another announcement to cause panic. The East, honestly.

Anyway if this person is not connected with a school we will have to sit tight and moan about no info coming from emails via SM.

HSE need to just say roughly where this is. Probably afraid of another hoax, no hoax, yes a hoax, oh yes it's true kind of thing.

This should see department of foreign affairs pull the plug on flights

Closing the gate after the horse bolted

Actually it's worse, we won't even close the gate, we'll just ask the rest of the horses if they would please consider not bolting.

Nope. Confirmed to be unrelated to first case. The person was in italy.

Is the virus tracker like the santa tracker?

Yes, its just a fake map of the world with animated graphics to show the virus moving around the globe.

I doubt it makes much of a difference at this stage. There are far more than two that will emerge over the next 2 weeks. Horse bolted about a week ago.

looks like it crosses the blood brain barrier, possibility of the virus being bi-phasic with relapses - or else your anti bodies dont last and you get reinfected. If it becomes part of the cold and flu season then what do you think the average life expectancy is going to be? Some of the damage it does to survivors will be permanent including sterilisation of males.

Would you be ok with life expectancy dropping to 70? or less?

Horse has bolted but we need to catch it

Its crazy to think that releasing 54k prisoners was the lesser of two evils!!!
    Iran sounds nuts.

The uk's plans including ignoring all low-ish level crime as the peak nears, then sending troops out afterwards post-peak, to clear up any mess.

They've some big cities and very high population density. Not to mention the remainers vs the remoaners and lots of 'not in'use' football hooligans.

Pretty sure there was a movie made abou this, not the 'plague', perhaps the 'purge'?

Its all risk assessment/appetite really. Shutting us down fully and making ****e of the economy earlier than needed could lead to more signifant problems. If it ends up in like the dark says of 10-12 years ago with huge uneplyment, social problems, mental health issues ect and all the grim knock on effects of all that. Its all a tricky balancing act with battling against a virus that probably will still spread no matter what eventually. Not easy decisions for anyone really.

So true and there's no where to emigrate to this time as everywhere else on the planet is in the same boat!!

Yeah, I need to know her name, address and preferably get a urine sample or I won't feel safe.

Could we burn her at the stake too maybe?

Apparently social media is not the best place to get advise regarding COVID, I haven't left my house since January and I'm healthy! its worked well for me

There must have been confirmed cases in the prison system otherwise they would have simply cancelled visits and intakes/releases.

Its crazy to think that releasing 54k prisoners was the lesser of two evils!!!

They have reportedly only released women over 60 and men over 70 who had sentences shorter than 4 years. Many, many more left to catch this and suffer without treatment.

    lovely people.

Why do they even bother specifying that it is the east at all? Why not just say Ireland if youre going to be that vague, 2/3 of the population live in 'the east' of the country

Everyone else is heading to Western Europe already (dozen or so found inside a trailer in Hull today, some presented sickness).

Would be an ideal time to roll out UBI (everyone gets paid, work or not), and perhaps a few chip implants to keep track of everyone coming and going.

Still evading speaking about the location of the first case and the subsequent band quarantine after confirming the letter was genuine (the one that had the name of the band on it) - huh?
