Same for the danes, I was getting coffee and the shakers for the top of the coffee were Cocoa, Cinnamon, Cardamon and Salt

Nuts isnt it? I like salt but over here it's just over done. They do not put fluoride in the water here like in Ireland. They put it in the table salt. I always wonder if that is because they think it will reach more people. :)

Do they make MiWadi with salt instead of water?

Northern Italy is feckin freezing in a damp miserable way this time of year. The plains of Lombardy make Ireland look tropical :D

It's warmer in Lombardy than Tipp.

Ryanair cancels some flights in response to Covid-19

The airline said that over the past week, Ryanair has seen a significant drop in bookings for late March/early April period. There has also been a significant step up in passenger no-shows on flights, particularly from and within Italy.

Only half the country, 700 million people the population of Europe. And cities like Shanghai and Beijing, Shenzen were effected by travel restrictions for weeks.

Over simplification of the facts as usual on this thread. In fairness the media is to blame for most of it.

Define lock down as there's a big difference between the measures being taken in different regions. You can't just blanket term it all as lock down.

There's not 700 million people in lock down. Rather 500-700 affected by some policies to contain the virus which itself is probably a bs estimate.

Lockdown means being confined to your home aka quarantine aka forced self isolation.

There's a big difference being confined to your home or having to use id to enter an area or being told to stay at home for 14 days after coming from an affected region or some travel restrictions.

2 guys saying the whole country was in lock down, you saying half the country. Again the usual overblown bs with no detail added.

Do you have some sources for these large estimates? I struggled to find any outside of clickbait headlines.

Hmmm will that push ryanair prices up or down? Only my family were planning to go home for Easter. Without me alas as I have a project. But be nice if it was super cheap. I should book now if it will be super expensive.

Singapore government are fairly active addressing the fake messages problem online :
There have been a number of fake messages and unfounded rumours circulating related to the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV).

If you receive these messages or any other unsubstantiated information over WhatsApp or other online platforms, we urge you not to forward or circulate them. Remember, if you are not sure, don't spread.

We'll be listing the more widespread ones here for your reference:

Actually fitting ultraviolet light in trams & trains might help reduce the load of germs on surfaces.

The strength and wavelength needed to have a beneficial effect would likely have a non-beneficial effect on humans exposed to it.
As has been recognized for some time, UVC radiation can damage the superficial tissues of the eye, and care must be taken to avoid excessive exposures of the eye. We should note, though, that while eye exposures to UVC may cause extreme discomfort, the symptoms usually subside within a rather short time, and no evidence of any malignant effects has ever been noted.

Ryanair cancels some flights in response to Covid-19

They’re only cancelling a few token flights with poor load factors. They’re afraid the Italian and Irish governments will issue a travel ban.

Why do so many people recommend we greatly increase the levels of ozone on our transports systems. Last time it was recommenmded for planes.

Killing or endangering the health of anyone who dares to travel is not the way to combat this virus.

    Dr Michael WHO:

"There's a need to catch the disease early, early use of oxygen because most countries will struggle if they start to see large numbers of patients requiring intensive care... we've also seen that people are spending many many many days up to 20, 24 days in a critical care environment. That's occupying a lot of beds for a very a long time so I think all countries are going to have to think very carefully how they manage the critical care component of this disease."

Ahhhhhhh... So thats Dr. WHO'S real name!

Also, when is the oxygen needed? I'm presuming he means this in the context of serious cases.

They are 3 weeks out from their initial cases; if they are still that high in 3 weeks, I'd be worried.

My understanding is that it is because the demographic it has hit is old and in a lot of cases sick people.
