We wont be go into lockdown. Stop panicking

    One case and this crap

The Chinese method is the only show in town if there's an outbreak.
It's what the WHO are advocating.

Matt Hancock was just today openly talking about shutting down entire UK cities.

I'm not saying it's going to happen, but if there's a sizeable outbreak it is the only course of action.

some lunacy people will go into this thread turned into one of those conspiracy lunacy ones in under few hours, empty shelves in lidl, people talking about stocking up and grid lock on entire country - 1 case confirmed and prob good few unoticed, and maybe few more over next days but speak of the apocalypse some people are completely nuts, ebola was scary $hit and it was back when internet nor mobile phones were invented, it was managed this $hit in 2020 in modern times sounds like people gone whacko, just stuffing their brains with all the bs they can cramp in.

As it stands, the chances of you or me or anyone else personally contracting the corona virus at the moment in Ireland is 0.00001% or something. No amount of venting by people on their keyboards changes this fact.
Talk about shutting down the country and cancelling everything is crazily premature. The authorities can only respond to actual measurable health risks, not to hysteria among the public or media.

    It's not a static risk.
What was the risk in Italy 6 weeks ago? What is it today?

Measurement of the risk of an infectious disease by current count in this country is neither here nor there. Why was the rugby match cancelled if the risk was only 0.00001%?
Why take any measures whatsoever for 0.00001%?

Why is Italy and Iran handling the virus so badly? outside of the epicentre in Wuhan these two have shot into 2nd and 3rd place on the death tolls in a week.

My brother has learned today that a child in his child’s class in Hesingue in France has it.
My niece her 7 year old sister and my sister in law just returned on Friday from visiting their other granny in Madrid.
The father of the infected child has recently returned from Lombardi.

I was there this very afternoon and I didn't see any empty shelves. Was in there on Friday and ditto.
It would actually be easier to contain if it was that deadly.
No. No it wouldn't be. You really believe a pathogen with the same ease of transmission and a 30% mortality rate would be easier to contain and deal with as a society? I've heard everything.

Just back from Lidl in Terenure.

Winged serpents are descending in their hundreds from the rainy skies and pecking out childrens eyeballs and scraping the skin of their parents away like wet toilet roll. Women are shrieking like banshees as random grenade attacks can be heard all across the village, as limbs and blood and guts splatter the faces of the retreating masses.

The earth is crumbling, the ground beginning to open up and giant worms made of smoldering lava are clambering out and wrapping themselves around peoples necks as zombie Nazis in huge tanks roll across the land squishing punters like cherry tomatoes before a huge bomb detonates 200 metres above Lidl, generating a mushroom cloud that can be seen from space.

They just happened to be the next 2 hotspots imo.

Reckon France and Germany will be battling it out for second place in the coming week.

Some people have trouble with this point.
We wont be go into lockdown. Stop panicking

    One case and this crap

That's what South Korea said, they just told the whole country to stay inside this weekend. They are talking about using stadiums as temporary hospitals now too. Who'd have thought it 2 weeks ago?

Germany called it the beginning of an epidemic after 20 cases. People can't see the inevitable.

Shops always have pretty bare shelves on a Sunday evening. Because most people shop on Saturday and there are no deliveries today.

Everything will be right as rain on that front by about 8am tomorrow.

If the country goes into lockdown and ESB workers won't show up to work.

Maybe i should go out and buy a generator as well. Think I will actually.

That won’t happen and it doesn’t take that much staff to run a power station.

Anyone know of a good body suit to buy in case it gets really bad?

    Thinking of buying one.

Like something Walt and Jesse had in the lab in breaking bad?
