My untrained eye is not able to tell.

Seems to be similar material to that used on smartphones.

I am sure a mini polisher would get rid of that.

Would any detailer be able to sort it then?

No harm in giving them a look.

Anyone suggest the best way of cleaning the white parts of the seats on an older VRs ? Not even sure what type of material they are, suede ?

Vectra you had a few of these over the years if I remember correctly?

As far as I recall those panels were Alcantara.
I had Leather in my 2 first Vrs's and alcantara in the last one, but that was the dark color seats with the red stitch.

You could try something like this > https://www.autopia.ie/product/dr-beasleys-microsuede-cleanser-40z/

    Or
a light solution of non bio liquid washing liquid in warm water and use a damp microfiber to wipe and another to dry.

So as the title suggests had a milk spill in the car last night.
Thankfully the mat soaked up most of it.
APC and a good scrub and rinse on the carpet in the car.
Didn't notice any smell this morning so hopefully I caught it in time.

Any suggestions on how to rid the smell just in case?
    Ta

Thanks guys, be heading home soon, hopefully won't be greeted by the smell of stale milk when I get into the car :)

Speaking from experience spilt milk is one of the worst things I've ever experienced with a cars interior.

A few years ago a 2 litre bottle of leaking milk was left in the boot of the aulones car, was at least a day before it was discovered. Pressure washing the boot mat and scrubbing it with a brush wasn't enough. Took weeks to get rid of.

And last year in Oz, same craic again, one of the lads left a carton of milk in the boot of his car for days in + 30°C Queensland weather. As the temperature got higher over the following weeks it got worse. Was so greatful to of had my own car at the time over there.

Thankfully I have the equipment (wet vac etc) these days to deal with something like that :D

Speaking of equipment, I've being ordering bits and pieces over the last few weeks from Amazon. Got myself two Meguires buckets and grit guards, mitts, drying towel, microfibers and more detailing brushes. All have yet to see use.

On Saturday gone I ordered soft white drill brushes, microfiber applicator pads, brush for leather seats and Autoglym leather cleaner from Amazon. Everything except the Autoglym stuff arrived today which should of being with the rest of them. Box seemed damaged on delivery so I'm guessing it either fell out or was stroked. Anyways Amazon are sending me out another one after I got onto them so I'm still happy out.

Think an autobrite foam cannon is on the cards next along with some EZ detailing wheel brushes or Meguires supreme wheel brushes.

Certain liquid won't pass customs or be pulled before shipping...

The other half car was growing all sorts as there was milk, yogurt, McDonald's and anything else one could imagine, she let the young one eat and drink in it.

It was like a forest floor the type of growth coming out of the seats and floor..... Mushrooms too......

I completely gutted the car, seats out and all that....

Took 2 days to get right....

If that was the case they never notified me. Replacement is due tomorrow. Hopefully it arrives.

Arrived yesterday so it did. Only tried it on the leather couch but I was expecting more from the smell.

Been watching his YouTube channel for about a year now, lots of good tips and tricks shared and he doesn't ramble on much. I usually enjoy the copart fixer ups too.

Aldi have their power washer back on Sunday, similar to Lidl's offering two weeks ago.

Although its not Workzone like previous Aldi iterations, do you think this will still have Lavor fitting?

Cheers. You also get a bottle of snow foam with the lance so I'm swaying towards it.
