Seems it was Candlemass for some festival which is I assume the one you meant.

Bastards. I mean if you're not going to play Electric picnic, grand but don't put your first Irish show in 18 years on the same day.

Sure EP is well sold out by now but yeah would think there would be a fair few who would have tried to go to both! Either way should sell out Vicar St sharpish

    Bright Eyes presale.

I am glad that Big Thief and Bright Eyes are swerving E.P as it's a terrible place to see bands of their ilk unless you are a fan of half empty tents.

Would love to see the Venn diagram of really angry Bright Eyes and Rage Against the Machine fans who will miss out on long awaited returns due to venue choices.

By my count they've 25 bands announced for each day so far. Saturday looks more full because the bands have longer names :D

Gigs '24 - Ben Ottewell and Ian Ball (Gomez), The Jesus & Mary Chain, The Smashing Pumpkins/Weezer, Pearl Jam, Green Day, Stendhal Festival, Forest Fest, Electric Picnic, Pixies, Ride, Therapy?, Public Service Broadcasting, IDLES, And So I Watch You From Afar

Gigs '25 - Spiritualized, Supergrass, Stendhal Festival, Forest Fest, Queens of the Stone Age, Electric Picnic, Vantastival, And So I Watch You From Afar

Think the most recent announcements kinda flew under the radar

I imagine there won't be any major announcements from here on out (though I kinda live in hope!)

    🤪

No I just saw it on overdrive that there was some news about it tomorrow can't go unfortunately. like for their first time bringing it back the line-up isnt that bad at all i'd say they are just testing the waters and if theres a demand for it theyll make it a yearly thing. I think if it was on around the time that RATM would be around Europe it would of been perfect but i hope it becomes a yearly festival cause a lot of these acts don't tour here on their own so it may be the only opportunity to see them without having to go abroad

The Darkness playing festivals all over Europe, would fit right in. Sceptical if was a band that size though

I think they are being smart with starting small and to grow the brand/festival over time to test out the demand.

Id love if they announced a few bands for the Friday night if they decide to open the campsite on that day(even 3 or 4 bands on the Main Stage) like the Darkness/Steel Panther or even announce if there will be any entertainment once the bands finish.

Lets be honest - Th Hu suck.

Personally I feel Mastodon should be above Sep and Gojira on the bill. They have a great body of work and Emperor Of Sand is one of the best rock albums of the last 10 years.

And just to note as always, you don't actually need to preorder the album for a presale code.
