I’m not an eir broadbands or eir sport customer.....is there any way of streaming the game to a lap top or smart tv

With that weather out, I'm kinda hoping it's called off. Be fairly impossible to get a covered seat if it's on.

Fair play for making the decision early before we travelled. Cant see it being played tomorrow either, not sure when the fixture would be played then

Status Orange - Wind warning for Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick

Southwest winds with mean speeds of 60 to 80 km/h with severe gusts of up to 120km/h, strongest on exposed hills and coasts, with a risk of coastal flooding.

    Valid: 10:00 Sunday 16/02/2020 to 22:00 Sunday 16/02/2020

MET Eireann just issued a orange warning for limerick for all day tomorrow, no chance of the game going ahead this weekend.

No they won't play it next weekend. Will be after the tipp game and will push out the knockout rounds probably meaning a double header league final with the football again like last year.

The GAA would do anything for this or any of the round 3 games to go ahead tomorrow to save them from this mess

Declaring all these games as draws is not happening either

You've an exact template for what will happen based on last year when the Galway game will be called off.

They certainly would not do anything to have these games played, this would be at least the 3rd year in a row that games were called off.

Exactly, only becomes an issue if more than one weekend has games called off. Also no replays now in the league knock out stages

but the galway game was the last game in the group stages last year

wait and see i suppose, prob this game wil get moved to the week of 8/9 March with the knockout stages on the week after and so on til the final on the 29th March

Not to be giving a running commentary on the weather but it's really cleared up and at the moment a nice evening here of course that could change they made the correct call as a lot of water had fallen but if it stays like it is now the match will go ahead tomorrow

Absolutely correct. Coming down from Dublin had a hotel booked so we came anyway.
It’s blue sky and almost balmy here now. Which is exactly what met eireann called.
Questionable call to abandon I think.
Mind you as the forecast was right for this dry spell pre 9 pm. If the same is correct for tonight there will be no game tomorrow without a boat. Or an ark.

Correct call. The pictures shown by Eir Sport show how bad the pitch is.

Could they play it on an all weather pitch somewhere in Limerick ???

UL have a few all weather pitches but not many spectators would see it it's just not possible its been dry more or less 6 hrs now didn't see the pictures from tv but I'd say there's a chance it'll go ahead.
Also injuries to players has to be taken into account.

    As I write its lashing

No way the game goes ahead tomorrow with the pitch as it was earlier AND an orange weather warning for limerick only kicking in at 10am lasting till 10pm tomorrow

Anyone else find that McGrath awful annoying

Could be a major test if the match is refixed for weekend of 7th/8th March with ourselves and Limerick still undefeated. Winner into semis/losers into QFs ha. Tbh more chance of Limerick being undefeated in that case as they play Cork (A) and Westmeath (H) in rounds 4/5. While we have Galway (H) and Tipp (A)

Whatever would we do if you hadn’t studied statistics at University

They're taking their time anyway. Galway and Tipp called off because of the orange wind alert though.
