Surprisingly the well known and wealthy can get bad treatment too here. Garrett Fitzgerald was turned away from public emergency dept just before his death with a prescription before his daughter phoned a doctor at the Mater Private to get him in there for his final two weeks.

I thought the type of cancer he had originally was one of the rare forms of pancreatic cancer that is very treatable? Assuming it's total 10, still not great odds.

Feb 4th and 5th 20 cases were identified.

9-10 days later half of them need hospitalisation?
(Assuming they follow the other case studies of a week of mild symptoms and it's days 9,10 it gets severe. IF your a severe case.)

There's a fair chance the age demographics on that ship are quite old

From the ages they released 4 were in their 70s and one in their 80s. Dont know about the rest but I'd say there is a good chance they are 60+

A mate of mine brought his wife-to-be on a romantic cruise. Got a whatsapp message from him going "I've just helped about 40 old ladies aboard with their luggage. The only people here our age are the wait staff, and even a few of them are nearing retirement. I'm dreading the pool tomorrow".

I'd assume 90% of people on those types of cruises are aged.
