    Likely a test flight, fairly common with EXS at this time of year and the -F suffix.

    That is a stretch for a 738 especially from STN.

    Indeed, the RYR delivery flights usually come to DUB direct from BFI. The stop in Maine is likely required due to the headwinds encountered going that direction, and the lack of FANS/CPDLC restricting them to FL290 or below (unless using the Icelandic VHF corridor).

    It has been based / in and out of Shannon a lot over the last few weeks. They did something similar last year too.

    Hopefully they get down safely. Maybe they divert to a military base, they'd have a lot of fuel on board and presumably they'd want to be landing with the bare minimum to lower fire risk.

    That is not a good situation. However, if they are in a fuel burn, the threat must not be critical.

    Did this fly over Dublin City around 15:15 this afternoon? What sounded like a large propeller aircraft flew over my office. I thought it was an AN12, but nothing came up on FR24.

    Though, I see FR24 is linked.

    If you review its track on FR 24 you will see that it flew out over the Atlantic and back to SNN.

    A wedge of a tire was likely flung forward when it burst and sucked back in to the engine. That’s my guess anyway

    Four hours in the hold doesn't sound like a lot of fun. No fuel dump on this 767, apparently.

    Relative to the aircraft, the top surface of the tyre is moving forward at ground speed, so entirely possible for something to get flung forward enough to be ingested. Although one commenter says they have seen a picture showing damage to the rear of the engine.
