    Found my missus has great experience with Irish women in general. She feels they actually make her even feel more welcome here.

    The Irish are naturally racist (men and women) but I believe that is changing. There’s been a huge influx of foreigners into Ireland in the last 20 years. So, with time, I think people here will start to realise that now we live in the world, not just in Ireland.

    Why do some Irish men feel so threatened by Irish women? This thread is perfect example of it. I never came across that before moving to Ireland. I would have friends who considered one or other nationality more attractive but I never came across insulting the personality of women of the same nationality.

    On other threads, I went into detail on my dating experiences in Ireland so I won't go do a long post here. Personally, I never found Irish/British women (that I met) very attractive, and those who I did find attractive, were rarely attracted to me. Whereas Asian women do like my skinny body, and don't react strongly to my shaking disorder. I do tend to be attracted to small women and slim bodies. Dark hair, and black eyes are a serious turn-on for me.

    And I will say that it's a personal preference. Most Irish guys I know absolutely love Irish women physically. It's not intended as an insult or slight to Irish women... it's just my own personal preference. (It wasn't a porn fetish either, and I didn't have a thing for Asian women until I went to live in Asia.)

    I've always been a fair bit odd/weird. I'm fine with it. I do find that some Irish women get annoyed that I don't appreciate them in the same way other Irish guys do, but honestly, I'd guess that most don't care in the slightest.

    I had no idea this was a thing, but if it is then obviously the only way to settle it is the white heat of the crucible of the competition of butt-ass-nekkid wrasslin' in a pit covered in motor oil, and may the best woman win, whatever colour she is.

    My parents absolutely love my former Chinese girlfriends, and stay in contact with them after we broke up. :pac: My parents had their shocks with my older brother who paved the way with his own girlfriends being presented first.

    My current girlfriend was supposed to return with me, but needed to stay in China due to the virus (She's a police officer).

    I would say and generally speaking Irish women tend to have nicer, softer faces on average, but other cultures do tend to have better figures. Thinner anyway, which isn't to everyone's taste either.

    Dunno if it's an exaggeration though. With regards to any of my girlfriends, I consider them to be absolutely gorgeous (still do after breaking up). I know that my friends might consider them average, but then I'm generally not attracted to their girlfriends either... And after living in Asia for over a decade, having a Chinese or Asian girlfriend isn't really exotic. It's simply normal.

    Maybe the thread could have said, I know a woman who dislikes another woman and they're both different nationalities.

    Some women are jealous of other women, some women admire other women.

    Some women are happy in their own skins and confident enough than have to undermine other women.

    And the same can be said for men

    I can’t vouch for that she’s got a beak that wouldn’t look out of place at the hornbill festival with a massive set of delph that would ward off the local predators. But it does add up to the most photogenic smile..

    I've heard that Irish women dislike foreign women roughly the same amount as i've heard the Irish men prefer foreign women.

    Which is to say, quite often. Maybe it's a feeling threatened thing?

    I've heard some foreigners (and Irish people who have moved from other counties) say that we're very clannish and unfriendly. I'd like to think it's more that we often have an established social circle already and are less likely to go out of our way to make new friends. It seems people who are new to the area often make friends with other people who are new to the area. I'd hope it's due to the above and maybe some culture clash/things lost in translation than actual malice.

    Yeah, that’s exactly what I’m talking about. Preferences - no problem. But staring, being transfixed is what I’ve witnessed. And of the guys I knew fairly well so could recognise a pattern. So far, I’ve only noticed this fixation focused on women are various east Asian nations: Japan, Thailand, The Philippines.

    I dated an Asian woman for a few years. She was quite racist lol.

    I think women (and men) are racist wherever you go.

    But definitely if you encounter someone judging you cos u have a foreign girlfriend, tell them openly to fuk off. They deserve it.

    I would have thought that having an established social circle already and being less likely to go out of our way to make new friends is the exact same as being clannish and unfriendly?
