Surely Jerry Kelly should be man of the match.

Incredible display of point taking today, but always easy to overlook when on losing side.

Brendan Maher's shoulder wasn't a red card in a million years. Dan McCormack couldn't have had any arguments if he'd got a red.

Shamrocks very complacent in the second half, Borris were limited but tried hard.

Ballyhale are a serious outfit would beat alot of County teams. Savage effort from Borris considering where they have come from. 3 County titles for kk clubs this weekend, shows how strong their clubs are and it won't be long before they're back winning all Irelands at intercounty level.

Amazing Ballyhale for such a small town to have hurlers like that. Tough year for the community out there the same with Borrislleigh who tried there best

    Corofin to win easy

Jerry Kelly put in one of the best performances ever seen by a player on a losing team. Great player to watch. Throwback to the old days in terms of physique.

I agree that he should have got MOTM, although TJ did pop up with a crucial score near the end, won a late free and set up more besides.

Absolutely crazy decision to give tj Reid motm, Jerry Kelly was head and shoulders above everyone today, 6 from play and a sideline. Someone needs their head examined picking that

Puck outs killed Borrisoleigh in the first half only winning 3/14 of their own.

Every puck out long down on top of the sweeper.

They would beat a lot of County teams, but none in the Liam McCarthy !

There's something seriously underwhelming about them. Obviously the best club team in the country, but when you name the players at their disposal and see their performance, it seems to be less than the sum of it's parts.
    Worthy winners today though.

Fair play to Borris, they never gave up. Will rue a few misses but hard to argue with the result overall. A good competitive game with the result not certain until the very end.

The All Ireland club champions two years in a row are seriously underwhelming!! What would you like them to do to prove themselves to you?

Anyone else watching on gaago? Had a "skybox will shut down due to inactivity" warning for about five minutes and then it actually did shut down. 160 quid a year. Fooking amateur hour.

I've had worse although today was frustrating. last year missed the 1st 39 minutes of a game I paid to see when the football I'm forced to pay for ran long. The refused even a partial refund or subscription installment discount. Also, they use their own 'media player' which is some pathetic attempt at reinventing the wheel. Been a subscriber from the beginning and they have not improved at all unfortunately. No other options though, so ...better than the alternative.
but no, you weren't alone today.
    Great final today! Congrats Shamrocks!

Can't profess to be fluent with the native tongue, but is Coman Goggins suggesting that Kilcoo were cynical (ag cinacúl) vs Ballyboden?

He mustn't have watched MDMA play then. Ballyboden are no saints themselves.

Three excellent points, I think Ballyhale played within themselves and had another gear in them if it was needed. Borris competed very strongly and their conditioning is exceptional. 8 club All Ireland's is a fantastic achievement for a country club.

More so because they've won the last 2 All-Ireland's (3 of the last 6) and have players like TJ Reid, Adrian Mullen, Colin Fennelly, Michael Fennelly, Joey Holden among others.

I know they're playing with better players when playing Intercounty, but I don't think most of those men hit the same standard as when they do when hurling with Kilkenny.

They also let Borrisoleigh back into the game when it should have been over and done with (although credit to Borrisoleigh for that), where as you would expect a team as experienced and as successful as Ballyhale to drive on, as they did in last years final and finish the job.

Free count is 8-0 in favour of Kilcoo.

Dire football final.Corofin need to vastly up the pace.Kilcoo playing "puke" as expected.

Kilcoo going full blanket and Corofin goal hunting isn't helping the flow.

First glimpse of what Corofin can do, straight at the keeper though.

Also wonder what the thinking is in playing Fitzgerald as a full forward?

Corofin doing their normal play acting here and cynically killing the play up the field

Don't hold your breath. Christ football is hard to watch especially after watching a decent hurling match beforehand.

Doubt it - kilcoo think their system is working (tbf it's effective) so they'll keep at it.

Kilcoo are no angels either in fairness.

Wow. Now theres an advertisement for our native 'Catch and Kick' game. Kilkoo go full duvet and Corofin look like they havent a clue. Gaelic football is over and back traversing the pitch. Where are the straight runners in groups like rugby.? Its years behind other field games in utilising space and this in a game with no tackle. Any arm around the shoulder is a free and there were frees given to Kilkoo where there appeared to be no physical contact at all...Maybe the ref is a fan of 'Minority Report' and is predicting the foul like Tom Cruise could foresee a crime...Fair does...ahead of the times not behind

Referee certainly took the odds available on kilcoo this morning.

Hurling needs to be the main event from here on in. That isnt football being played. Its a hybrid of Rugby / wrestling.
