Haha come to tipp and see whos happy, best winter i have had in ages, even had a wedding kilkenny in September, a glorious day of hurling discussion.
your post is delusion at its finest, a common kilkenny trait. Was on corks gaa forum they had a thread for most hated teams, kilkenny and glasgow rangers featured alot.

I was just going to say the exact same thing. I imagine he would have been a star in the battlefields of the 1980s!

He doesn't gravitate far away from the edge of the square too often, which is quite unique in the modern sense, and generally uses his brute strength to out-fox his marker. But I also feel he gets away with over-charging and other technical fouls more than most. Which isn't a sleight towards Kilkenny, just an observation before some Cats come in bearing their claws. Fairly limited in terms of technicality essentially but effective at what he does.

Anyone else feel that Reid got away with a late slap across the chest of a Slaughtneil lad near the end of the game? Yellow carded for it alright, but I could only imagine the fury if the perpetrator was the victim in the exact same circumstances, given the nature of some of the frees he gets awarded.

Could you honestly look at the replay of the incident and see any 'slap' with sufficient force to cause the 'victim' to go down the way he did? Not saying there wasn't a foul but the lack of red card is not what needs to be called out in that instance

Hasn’t been too bad of a decade for the cats. In 7 All Ireland finals and won 4 of them.

Clubs teams showing well at Senior, Inter and Junior National levels.
Ballyhale with All Ireland titles in 15, 19 and should win one at the end of the month to make it 3 this decade.

You're getting more and more pathetic

Haha you dont like when i speak to the truth or all the other posters here who are copping on to kilkenny nonsense, anything i say is factual, again today your on about tj reid foul and the man going down, instead of looking at the slap you try to blame the opposition player for going down. You are the definition of pathetic since you cant objectively judge when kilkenny are involved.

Success can lead to jealousy among people and slowly onto hatred.

Can understand why Cork would be hateful(jealous) of KK alright.

Sure Tipp people always enjoy one good winter in a row, but never two in a row 😜

I agree with that part, but not that he is getting special treatment.

Once saw your fella Doran score three goals in league game in Croke Park against Dublin in 1976/7. Turned a certain and rare win for ourselves into a defeat. Drew with the Cats same season.

He was something else and in an era where more was let go he was not shy about talking to the ref!

i was referring to your pathetic post (again) about some ****ing wedding and some cork forum, like who gives a ****? Still giggling about the colour of the buses in Kilkenny? pathetic, premierview level stuff.

Maybe leave the discussion about the Reid incident to the posters that have seen the incident and that can grasp logic and understand context, since you clearly are struggling with a lot of the posts here

I know the man personally. Absolute gentleman. Never seen him hurl in my lifetime, but a measure of a legend is seeing grown men turn into star-struck kids whenever they stand next to big Tony at a game :D

I think not liking your points being challenged/discussed is more precious
i love my points been challenged and discussed cause i can back them up with facts and examples, i maintain some ( a minority to be fair) of kk posters can be extremely precious

You could add 2010 to Ballyhale all Ireland titles.

If players stand off him, Fennelly will make hay as he won't be continuously fouled. He's constantly being pulled and dragged and not getting fair play from refs at any level.

Yep. Can recognize him as the guy with 4 defenders hanging on(fouling) as he drags them.

really? didn't know kk won silverware in 2019

No & while leinster was disappointing we progressed steadily over the year & exceeded expectations. I don't think many other counties would consider an AI final & 2 hard fought wins leading up to it too shabby for the team that wrapped up '18. Still, 2nd isn't what any athlete strives for.

It shouldn't have changed until they can fit it into one calendar year. And if they can't do that then it shouldn't have changed at all.

The GAA aren’t interested in clubs any more so they’ll move it around until it’s an afterthought.

  • Registered Users Posts: 37,981 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

Ballyhale and Corofin to retain I think

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,059 ✭✭✭zetecescort

Intermediate and Junior hurling finals will be shown on TG4's youtube page tomorrow, Junior at 4 and Intermediate at 6

leaving Patricks day and tradition out of it the previous scenario of a provincial final end of November or start of December, all Ireland semi mid February and final mid March was crazy. Current situation isn't ideal but i think its an improvement. On the games themselves expecting huge performances from kilcoo and borrisoleigh but both to fall short against outstanding teams.

Jesus I hate the 3 cheers stuff but imagine it would be less smug giving theres no real rivalry between clubs from different counties

Also hate it. A stupid tradition. Would rather see the captain say something like unlucky to the lads, no doubt they'll come back again and thanks for a great game. Leave it at that. Maybe give a quick round of applause or some such but it's all nonsense

Heard from various interviews that some dislike the opposition manager coming in after the game saying a few words of thanks and hard luck. County club games with them almost smirking

    100%

How on earth can anyone favour a format with a 2 month break between a provincial final and semi and a further 6 week break to the final (preventing players involved playing county), over one with a 3 weeks/month break between prov final and semi and 2 weeks between semi and final.

I think people are letting the sentimental aspect of Paddys Day cloud their judgment. Every single club player I know heavily favours this change

Yeah, do away with that too. I always hated it. It's like rubbing salt into a loss. A losing dressing room is depressing enough without having to entertain the opposition patronising us with a well done lads, we're better than ye

Like the recent IC calendar change we just have to get used to it

I have to say I think its incredibly unfair on Fr O'Neills to have to travel to Dublin for a 6pm throw in. Insane scheduling. Sure they won't be back in Cork for potential celebrations till almost 11pm FFS by the time they get out of Croker

You have to wonder the level of intelligence in these fixture planning meetings

I agree and given that you'll have both cork clubs going to the same area it's madness.
