Yeah, well obviously I did (see post #59), and yes it was great, like really great for children & adults alike, specially if you're into the Worzel story. Just the two installments sadly.

I watched that Big Fat Quiz Of The Year on Channel 4 the other night

The fun seems to have gone from that show, it just seems like an endurance test now.

Very low laughs per minute score.

what the hell are bbc2 doing a tribute night for that low life junkie Michael Hutchence?? esp at christmastime?

he was a mediocre singer at best in a mediocre band

I thought that last year. I used to love it, but it was torture.

I saw a bit of it the other day, more irritating than anything else

Dara O'Brian's team was very good, though.

‘Guns ‘N’ Roses: Appetite For Democracy’ on Sky Arts right now.

Planner says it started at 9pm, but given Axl’s lack of a watch who knows?

Less of a scandal and more biggest national embarrassment since people thought concrete statues moved.

Top Gear Christmas Special was good fun..

.. far prefer the friendly slagging/banter between Chris, Freddie and Paddy to the vitriol spewed between Clarkson, May and Hammond in later years.

Is tonight's LLS a repeat of the one when Gaybo died ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 72,286 ✭✭✭✭Welsh Megaman

    Frankie Boyle time :)

nah, don't feel its genuine..its contrived imo

having said that, not a bad christmas special in fairness

Frankie’s opening five minutes was the funniest TV so far this Christmas.

Apart from Bob on ‘Would I Lie To You’, of course. :)

Good god no, the 'banter' from the lads reading off their scripts will never compare with the chemistry from Clarkson, Hammond and James May.

My aunt and uncle were married for 52 years, but died within hours of each other.

Because he nailed all the windows shut and set the house on fire.

    (It's a joke! It's not true!)

Always good to hear Charlie Brooker say the words...

    ‘A bit like your Mum’.

Una Healy presents RTE1's main New Years Eve Show, 'Una Healy's New Year's Eve Party' tomorrow at 10.25pm (Imelda May got dropped)

There ain't no New Years Eve Party like an Una Healy's New Years Eve Party ... as Una Healy's New Years Eve Party finishes at 11.50pm**

"But Una, let's keep the party going until Midnight at least? You know, For the New Year? Cos That's the main point of New Years Eve? ..."

"No, everyone must leave now. This party ends at 11.50pm. Get out before I call the Guards"

** It apparently ends at 11.50pm so they can give token coverage of a live concert in Dublin. Boo.
