Decent fireworks display in Dublin, previous years I had seen better displays in Finglas at Halloween.

Always cringe at that Status Quo-esque version of ‘Auld Lang Syne’ the BBC play.

I don't mind Walking On Cars but they're not really a band that get the party started are they.

But that's the best bit when the crowd really takes off after the fireworks and everybody's bouncing, brilliant :D

Ffs, you can catch the rest of the gig on the RTE Player, eh no I'd rather gas myself. Meanwhile they will show The Intern, and they wonder why people complain and think the organisation is run by away with the fairy idiots :pac:

Jools Holland on NYE is one of my favourites. I think he gets it just right.

Vic Reeves looks like Frankie Boyle's zanier older brother.

Loved Joseph, never heard them before. Show always throws up an unknown gem for me each year.

Thought they were pretty good myself. Ah well. Cant please all. It was different, different but good imo (the event). Not just lobbing tonnes of fireworks up.

I remember Amy Winehouse came out on the 2007 one hammered and made a mess of some old ska numbers and she was still brilliant.

The quite small big band doing a nice job of La Vie En Rose here.

Eddi Reader is a fine singer in fairness

One day I will learn not to confuse her with Eddie Vedder

Like, I know they aren't the same person but I have a sort of name dyslexia about the two of them

I've seen Rick Astley on telly a few times. He seems to deal with being Rick Astlely really very well.

Which is a credit to him.

With all the messing around in the World it's nice that David Grohl and Rick Astley can find each other and do this and make it sound good
