Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Not really liking any of the Son downgrade options so thinking of going Robertson > Tomori to give me funds for Son > Salah. Would mean no Liverpool defence. I've a hunch Robertson is liable for further rotation over xmas (though who isn't...)

Liverpool have a few injuries in midfield, so Milner is likely to see game time there. He’s the only realistic alternative at LB to Robertson, so I’d say Robertson is safe enough.

Me neither. Did Son --> Zaha last night before the price drop in more of a panic.

Didn't buy Grealish last week because of his 4 yellow. Didn't buy him again because of the yellows. He'll probably keep scoring until I finally capitulate and buy him.

    At least I've 3.6 m in the bank now for a a -4 punt if I decide.

Aren't the yellow cards reset after gw20?

Thanks. I thought they were. Made the transfer at 1:30 am so, like I said a bit of a panic.

Still though Zaha has as tempting a fixture as Grealish this week. I'll consider him a nice differential. Along with all my other differentials

Thinking of starting Cantwell over Richarlison this GW.

Thinking of starting Cantwell over Richarlison this GW.

    Can’t you start both ?

    Na.

KDB, Salah, Alli, Vardy, Jimenez and Abraham.

Then one of Richarlison or Cantwell.

    Richarlison currently benched.

I'm benching Cantwell, most of his points have come at home. Maybe I'm blinded by the fact that I'll be starting a Villa defender.

Rage transferred out Son for Maherz at full time yesterday, but f**k it a bit of a differential is no harm.

Also took a -4 for Tammy to Ings for no justifiable reason... didn't need cash and by the looks of it I'll be benching Ings this weekend so a complete case of red mist getting the better of me.

    Richarlison currently benched.

If I go through with my 2FTs (Son, JWP out for Alli and Richarlison) I’ll have the same front 8, bar Mane for Salah.

I’ll be benching Cantwell if I do, but expect he might end up coming in due to rotation.

Almost identical to me except for Mane instead of Salah.
I can't see a need to make a transfer this week or even use my wildcard.

Which two to play from TAA, Traore, Cantwell and Martin Kelly?

    Currently on Cantwell and TAA

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,022 ✭✭✭✭Iused2likebusts

My plan was always KDB to salah for gw 20 but that son suspension has me thinking maybe I should just get salah now and hold kdb for the inevitable gw 20 benching. I'm. 7 short so will probably need to do baldock to femenia and son to salah.

    Any thoughts on this -4

    Sterling, Tielemans and Greenwood out

    Traore, Grealish and Kane In

Already own KDB, Mane, Jimi, Vardy and Zaha

Why would you want to bring Kane in - like what has he shown that makes him worth 10.9m? I would actually prefer to Keep Greenwood - as he will probably start a game over xmas and he looks lively and has a goal in him.

I feel it's one of Traore or Grealish and not both, haven't ran the $$$ amount, but could do Sterling and Tielemans to Salah and Traore, and keep/bench Greenwood?

Seeing a lot of people captaining Kane too
Can’t understand why anyone has him at that price and is captaining him with his form and average postion

I can get captaining him if you have him, because the logic of most getting him is that he has to score big sometime that's the type of player he is etc, and no point having him, if your not going to captain him.

Wasn't some poster of the opinion of having Kane over Vardy a month a go because both are "20 goal a season players", and one was over half way, hence best to get Kane in.

Thanks for all the feedback people.

Looks like I’d be the only one benching Richarlison over Cantwell so I may listen to the wisdom.

Would rather be angry at you lot than myself.

So I’ll now start Richarlison over Cantwell.

I see some are even thinking of captaining Richarlison.

I have Cantwell and Richarlison, captained the latter last weekend and am also thinking of doubling down on stupidity/risk by giving him the armband again this week.

Have Cantwell benched but expect him to come in if KDB is rested

I wonder with KDB’s importance to their results (haven’t they done poorly without him ?) will Pep give him 60-70 minutes in each match rather than a full 90 minute rest.

Anyway I look forward to not owning Richarlison in about 3-4 GW’s and can’t get rid until then.

After this week a lot of teams have 3 home games in 4
Unfortunately they are from all the teams I don’t own :@ as it’s a reverse of the ones who had it more recently
Man city the standout . (KDB)
Brighton saints and watford not bad (Ings and maybe a defender from other 2)

This is a note to self LOL

I don’t think any minus 4 will be worth it next 2/3 weeks with amount of rotation

Big decision to make. Maddison dropped a bit in form. Son needs to go. Could just do Son to KdB. But fancy some Spurs cover.

At the moment only have Jesus from City. And nobody from Spurs (assuming Son is banned). Hmmm....

Happy men’s Christmas shopping day to you all, if you have 5 spare minutes can ye look at this scenario.Have 2 free transfers and for the first time ever I am thinking of not using it. Have moved from 1.12m to 87k largely due to not making transfers. No money ITB.
Team is Pope (doing ok and no replacement standing out)
TAA, Kelly, Targett, Soy and Lundstram,
KDB, Zaha, Mane, Maddison and Cantwell,
    Jimenez, Auba, Vardy,
Could do Maddison and Auba to Grealish and Kane I suppose but seems very sideways, was going to do Zaha to Grealish but Palace are at home to possibly Roberto so keeping him.

Don't think auba is worth keeping, Madison is under review for myself. But with pope's upcoming fixtures worth moving him on now I think, over losing a transfer of even move mane to salah

Shane Long is doubtful this week so it might mean that this isn't the one that Ings misses.

Hasenhuttl on Ings: "We must be really careful about the time we give him to play. Although you want have him every minute on the pitch, it's not possible."

That does not mean he gets no game time. Just that his time will he managed. He is by far their most likely way of scoring goals so in a dog fight he will be getting plenty time but maybe restricted to 65/70 minutes

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,520 ✭✭✭✭dsmythy

I don't buy the rest Ings for Chelsea idea just because it's considered harder. Chelsea are beatable by anyone. Not to say it won't by chance be that game but it won't be the reason.

    From the site:
"The first wildcard will be available from the start of the season until Sat 28 Dec 11:30. The second wildcard will be available after this date in readiness for the January transfer window opening and remain available until the end of the season."

Any advice for my two free transfers

    Pope Gazzinga
    Soyuncu Kelly Lundstram aurier Baldock
    KDB martial maddison Zaha Cantwell
    Kane Vardy rashford

3m in the bank. Thinking of richarlison in for martial/Zaha but nearly all my players have decent fixtures this week

9.9 to replace Son - what’s the general wisdom? Have KDB, Mane, James and Greilish

I’d go straight away to Alli. Output is ridic good at the mo and should see price rises out of him. Not sure how much Son being out will hinder him, but Spurs have good fixtures so you’d want to have some of them

did Son and Abraham to Sterling and Maupay -4. Maupay a bit of a punt but he's looked good and fixtures are pretty good going forward, Sterling has looked hungry of late and is likely to explode(i hope)

    Happy Christmas all
