    Workrate is only a fraction of why fans get behind matches. Story and characters are far more important.

    The audience/ crowd need a reason to care J and that's always been a thing in pro wrestling. Back in the territory days the fans needed a reason to go to the mid south colliesium or the Omni or MSG. That's why the promos back in the day was who/where/when so the audience knew who was fighting and where snd when.
