England will win this now. Game over I feel. Completely different side second half as you can see.

They're an outstanding sporting nation, arguably the best in the 2010s.

Well this quote hasnt aged well lol.

Although in fairness you were not alone thinking England would win. I certainly never foresaw them losing by this kind of margin.

Hats off SA. You really deserved it today.

    Delighted to see Kolbe score.

England should've taken Daly off. He was a liability the whole game. Lost pretty much every kick contest and had a few barbarous handling errors.

I think this world cup shows that test matches really don't matter a toss.

They are friendlies at the end of the day, the big boys turn up for tournaments

This English team seem like a nice bunch.

Why are people like you so bitter?

South Africa have done to England what England did to New Zealand in their semi. They have dominated them physically and imposed their own game. Throw in 2 beautiful tries and this has been a seriously impressive performance. Full congrats to them.

Remember when we were looking forward to meeting these in the quarter's?

    Ahhh simpler times

Wales pretty much gifted them the win, although both sides were as bad as each other for that.

Its a shame. And disappointed. Would have loved to seem them nab it.
SA undoubtedly deserve it on this game though. England just didnt get the go forward momentum they have been used to against everyone else this year. SA knew what they had to do and had the grunt to stifle Englands forwards on the gain line. And England maybe lacked a bit of variety or sophistication to turn to when their normal game wasnt making progress. Victims of their own success maybe.
England are still a super team. Can see them steamrolling to the 6N with no one getting anything out of them at all.
Terrific for SA to have 3 world cups.

As an aside, I'd say if you told any South Africans in 1995 when they won that the next time they won a world cup it'd be lifted by a black captain you would've either been a) laughed at or b) lynched.

I certainly didn't see any evidence of that. If anything they deserve to be arrogant as they hammered the two best teams in the world this year....in Ireland's case they hammered us twice for good measure

Its still pretty good though. Wish Ireland had that kind of success.

Looks like their cricket team will hold all the glory this year.

Christ there are an awful lot of below standard comments on this thread

You guys do know this is a forum for adults right?

    Chomsky(2017) on the Republican party

"Has there ever been an organisation in human history that is dedicated, with such commitment, to the destruction of organised human life on Earth?"

When England go to bed tonight they’ll be having nightmares about Du Toit, Vermuelen and Kolisi.

    Monstered.

Delighted to see this after a week of hearing how England were going to dominate rugby for years and how they had changed the sport last week. Maybe win the competition before making such grand claims next time.
