    As axle is not at very back of trailer it still carries much more of the weight when full compared to tractor drawbar.

    Buford,

    That gap at each side under the rams, I've seen cows stick their nose in there to get at silage only to get caught when the grab opens. Bear that in mind.

    That one is probably safe enough I had one with a bigger gap and had to weld a piece on both sides to block them

    You have a cow 913 as well?:eek:

    Thanks for that, JP, I wouldn't normally open the grab with the side to the feed face except at Christmas and New Year so I'll keep an eye on them when I'm feeding that way.

    I went to our local hardware to buy a round file and guide to sharpen the chainsaw as I lost the one I had. The owner told me that there were 4 different sizes depending on the chain and I didn't know which size to buy. He was busy dealing with other customers and I couldn't wait. So how do I know which size file to buy.

    There should be a number and make on the chain. Just google it then.

    Unless they're selling saws they're liable to give you the wrong file too, better to go to a chainsaw seller

    My neighbour sharpens mine with one of these, seems to do a great job, plugs into the jeep

    This is the chain I have. It takes a 5/32" or 4.0mm file. It's an Oregon 91VX.

    I haven't seen them in Ireland anywhere and my neighbour couldn't get them either
    Did you ever put teh file in a small drill. does a nice sharpen too
