I might go up to Dublin twice a year. Exhausting! More than the UK somehow.
Strangely different atmosphere to the West.

    Housework...cooking...reading a free Kindle book (escapist)...enjoyable day

Home. Unlike my fellow train passengers who most likely have to do it again tomorrow, I grabbed 4 cans of Heineken and a Super valu ready meal. Chicken Korma and Pilau Rice. After a few scoops, I'll nuke it and enjoy with some chips from the trusty Air Fryer.

At lap top, cleaning up today's admin business, After that they can all get to fook!

Italians have really branched out since I was last in one.

I do about 1-2 days up there a year & it is enough of the rat race for me.

Likewise, I'm up there once or twice a year for a hurling or rugby match and I can't fecking wait to get out of the place every time.

Currently fireside, an early night tonight as a hectic weekend ahead, a family gathering Saturday that I'm really looking forward to meeting up with the whole gang.

had an arson attack on our premises in work back several months ago. One thing I have learned from all this is that getting a phone call back from a solicitor is like waiting for the Brexit debacle to end. It just never seems to happen.
Oh yes, a polite secretary said, he'll ring you back in 5 minutes.
A fortnight, two more similar calls and a few emails later.... still nothing.
I had marked the last email "urgent", which I thought was fair enough.... Where's the fire you might usually ask? Well it was in our place of business so you know, maybe we've got some misplaced hope that this might qualify as slightly more pressing than taking two weeks to return a call.
Ach, they'd drive ya nuts. I'm sure when the bill eventually arrives from him it will be a tad more pressing.
Had similar experience when buying house but not quite as bad as this and different solicitor. I'd LOVE to have attended law school.
It must be great craic. Year one they teach you tort law, year two how to charge - just work out what seems fair and multiply it by five. Year three, how to ignore your clients.... In year three I'm guessing the students all have a giggle and have to ignore their inbox and switch off the phones for a few months. If you reply to anything you fail the semester.

Rant over!!! God that feels better now, time for a lie down :D

Broke up with my "partner" of 16 years a few days ago as well (twas coming for ages) so by jaysus I'll be happy to see the end of 2019.
Well, aside from Liverpool winning the european cup.... That was fookin magic!

My aim now is to focus on the positives in life and avoid becoming a contrary bitter auld fella.
So I've been repeating that to myself the past while. And then BINGO it happened.... The first sign of my luck changing occurred this evening.
I was hopping into the van to hit a pharmacy for neurofen for sciatica and as I was doing this I noticed a packet of Ibuprofen on the ground, unopened.
Magic! So I've reached the conclusion that there is indeed a God up there who gives and takes.
But he/she is a bit like Inland Revenue, when they take it's with interest and penalties and vat and all that good stuff. And when they give back a little, you just swallow it and take your medicine.

Sorry to hear about the hassle and the break up NewRed. Even if the latter was the right thing, it's bound to hurt in some ways.

I am a different woman in Winter. Summer evenings are for strolls, eating and drinking al fresco. Winter? Can't WAIT to jump into the warm nest for cuddles. Oiche Maith my pretties:)

Ah cheers pal ! Thanks. Ah life happens and it was coming a long time anyway so its ok.

Dont want anyone feeling sorry for me really, more about just getting on with things now. As someone told me yesterday, nobody died, plus when you know its on the horizon for yonks its sort of a relief in a bizarre way.
    I'll survive. :)

Any anger I have will be channeled towards that aforementioned solicitor..... and Arlene Foster. I don't know much about her but there's only so many times you can hear the words "Arlene says ney" without wanting to shoot yerself :D
