The irish team are lined up very close to the front, someone must fancy it.

    Miserable conditions.

One of the Luxembourg riders almost run over by the Irish team car. Whoops!

Would love to know what happened between Gastaeur and the Irish car there. Bike was under the front of the car, but did that happen after a spill, or did it cause it?

Does BMC mean Bahrain Merida Cycling now? :D

    ;)
Dennis is wedded to the BMC now. What chance he ends up at Dimension Data for next year?

Tomorrow, in the near misses thread...

Actually, I picked up a car in Doncaster on Thursday. Should really have planned it to be in the area for the weekend! (To watch, not to run over someone)

They weren't kidding about the relay plane spinning in circles! (route attached)

Dennis has packed. Guessing he didn't like the rain provided by the organisers and wanted to use his own rain instead.

    Martin out too.

Yeah, that's the one thing about the Worlds. You see a star studded line up that promises so much only for many of these guys to pull out during the race.

BTW, we'll be waiting a while for the pictures to come back. 13.15 GMT is 14.15 BST (13.15 GMT+1).

Sam Bennett is riding well but looks like he has no support now

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,778 ✭✭✭Mefistofelino

Looks like Dunne is in the group just off the back of the bunch

  • Registered Users Posts: 20,048 ✭✭✭✭neris

Plane due to take off in 40 minutes for tv pics

Ireland missing Nico Roche as he would still be there to help

Yeah Bennet has no support with just under 100km to go. I thought with the strength of the team even without Roche, support would be there for Bennett until the last few km.
