Michael Cole roaring his face off during the Fiend attack just kills any interest you'd have in it. Also zzzzz on a Rollins/Strowman tag team, just when they repaired Gallows and Anderson's aura. Fcuk sake.

Man, I watched SummerSlam and although I was pleasantly surprised -repeatedly- on how good the show was as a whole, just Michael Cole...he cuts right through me. I hate him as a commentator. He holds zero credibility. He's an obvious yes man. Everything he promotes is instantly uncool. I am allergic to him. And guess what, you can't escape him.

I've never missed Heenan and Monsoon; Vince, Heenan and Macho; JR & Heyman, or JR & King so much in my life.

Cole is so bad, genuinely would make you want to mute or switch the show off all together, really makes their programming a chore to get through.

Said it before but think Kelly/Romero is the best announce team today. Even the combos of Matthews/Callis, Riccaboni/Cabana/Caprice and Ross/Excalibur/Schiavone are preferable for me, they're not necessarily better but at least they don't speak in that horrible forced, fake WWE style that nobody in real life talks like.

So spend 3 weeks building the AJ & OC back up as a major force only to turn them into gloried jobber over the last two week.

    Great job Heyman.

If Heyman gets credit for good things over the last few weeks he needs to get blamed for bad things as well.

    God awful RAW again.

Don't get me wrong - he's extremely smooth and polished, very good at doing his job; but his job is being a spineless company man, barking the latest slogans - a mouthpiece for brand awareness. It's soulless. When he talks, all I think is "die in a fire". Not the man of course, but the character.

I think it was the first UK tournament where it was just him an Nigel McGuinness and he clearly had no earpiece or company lines being fed to him and he was fantastic.

When I hear the start of OC's theme I think it's Alisteir Black coming out. At first I thought it reminded me of The Ascension, then I realised WWE doesn't want people to remember the Ascension. Anyone else remember them or AoP, 2 tag teams that apparently aren't eligible for a Tag Team Turmoil match. Or do both teams have injuries?

Ziggler and Roode winning is stupid. Two nothing midcarders that nobody cares about anymore.

You have Heavy Machinery who are a lot of fun, Otis being all of it admittedly. If Ziggler and Roode take the titles from Rollins and Braun no-one will care and it won't benefit them. If Heavy Machinery got a win over Brollins (sorry) it would be huge for them and it wouldn't hurt Brollins in the slightest because they're reluctant partners.

What happened to Roode's previous tag partner, now we have RooDolph

Gable? Currently in the KOTR with a "Haha, he's short" gimmick.

You were correct, and Bailey finally turned heel who was probably needed at this point, makes sense seeing as she is facing Charlotte Flair in Charlotte there wasnt a hope she was getting cheered. I imagine she will drop the belt there too.

Hopefully she gets to retain, would be a shame to force her to drop it now that they've finally given her something to build upon.

Charlotte is going to me a 30 times champ anyway at this rate so hopefully they can see Charlotte will have plenty more hometown moments.....whereas this has to work for Bayley.

Sasha wins and Bayley retains and they run amok for the next couple of months with Becky and Charlotte chasing....that would be great.

Heel turns feel hard to do these days. Becky was being cheered but Bayley still got "Yes!" chants and will probably be the cool heel going forward.

Becky should interfere in Bayley's match at Clash of Champions and cost her the belt. That might lead to an alliance between Becky and Charlotte which could lead to a tag team Hell in a Cell match between Becky/Charlotte vs Sasha/Bayley, which could be great.

So the raw KOTR finals is now a triple threat with Corhin, Ricochet and Samoa Joe

Me thinks this is for Corbin to pin Ricochet to keep Joe looking strong

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,645 ✭✭✭RollieFingers

A match in a single elimination tournament which sees neither man lose and both advance to the next round. So stupid.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,601 ✭✭✭2ndcoming

Haven't watched it yet but it sounds like they just couldn't help themselves messing up KOTR. It had been so refreshing having straight singles matches with clear outcomes and direct consequences.

Right idea, wrong pinfall victim. It will be Corbin pinning Joe (who can take losses and bounce right back) to keep Ricky strong, I reckon.

Also, bold of them to pretty much announce Bray is going to interfere in the Seth/Braun match during that Firefly segment. Pretty much put a neon sign up when he said that he had issues with both men. So I'm guessing he causes a no contest at CoC, and then we get a triple threat match at HiaC. It being a Triple Threat means Bray doesn't have to get too involved in live segments either, cause he can leave Seth and Brawn to do them....

Thought the Bray segment was good..have been bored of the womens division for months but it got a bit more interesting now that Baley and Sasha have turned.

At least Austin is back next week to provide some entertainment

Edit: and a bump to the ratings

Don't think so, just a partnership of convenience.

Austin will be there to help sell tickets to MSG which is still not sold out as well as a ratings bump.

Oh absolutely, sure its probably the only reason he'll be there, and he will still outshine the current roster

I dont think they'll put him into that, unless he was to be special guest ref for the match itself, im guessing maybe something to do with Kevin Owens, stunners all round to send everybody home happy

That's exactly what he's there to do according to his own Twitter account.
