I was already loading a shotgun... He got away this time.

I was just going to choke him on his guitar strings....:D

Got the refurbed alloys back from wheel wizards, very happy with the work. I was glad to be rid of the loan alloys, they were brutal!

My OCD would annoy me that they didn't line the centre cap and the M badge up..

Ffs keano, thanks for highlighting that...now my ocd is gone off the charts!

Just checked and that's the only one they didn't line up, which makes it worse:D

How much they charge you for it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,446 ✭✭✭Wailin

€100 a wheel. Seems to be the standard rate across the board.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,940 ✭✭✭Tazzimus

Might get the Mazda's looked at. Last owner didn't seem to understand parallel parking, which is a pity as the rest of the car is quite clean.

They look amazing Wailin, I remember mine used to look like that when I first bought the car. :(

Thanks bazz. Glad I got them done, it was annoying me for ages.

Should be a bit cheaper for the mazda, that price is for the 19" wheels.

Probably not by much, mine has 18's
    Decent idea on price though

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,446 ✭✭✭Wailin

Just checked their website, €362 for four 18" wheels.

They look fantastic Wailin. I see their work hasn't dropped at all since I got my E92 wheels done years ago.

Now, contact James in MX Valeting and have him paint your calipers and align that centre cap up and we'll all be happy :D

Thanks MM! It's been on my to do list to have the calipers painted, was considering doing it myself but I'd probably botch it! Are MX valeting good at this?

Make a weekend away out of it. Go to the Market on Saturday morning and eat your way around it, maybe a munster match in the afternoon or if that's not your thing an afternoon in the Hunt museum is well spent. Few pints in Nancys or Tom Collins that night and away home on Sunday with your newly painted calipers and a great weekend under your belt.

Sounds like a good plan JBJ!

Now, the most important question....what colour? Car is dark grey. Red would be too much, blue I'm not really taken with unless its a certain shade. I'm thinking of just plan old silver or possibly black?

I googled m performance brakes for the f10, and discovered they never made that option. Odd as they did for that gen 3 series and I would have thought a simple upgrade to sell to customers and make more money on for BM.

Gents, don’t suppose any of you would have any use for a complete book pack (owners manual, service booklet etc) for an e65 7 series? Practically unmarked, will be going in the bin after the weekend

Indeed. They also offered the M Performance brakes with blue calibres on the 3 and 4 Series as part of the M Sport Plus option pack from about late 2015 onwards. The F10 got the M Sport Plus option pack also but it didn't include any M Performance brakes either.
