It's nothing to do with thinking I'm a better person. It's just the stupidity and absurdity of pretending that Margot Robbie of all people - or Keira Knightly - are ugly. It makes a little more sense (if still way OTT) if the person isn't conventionally good looking but those two women?

And I've never insulted people about their looks, no - not because I think I deserve a medal but because I don't see the logic. It's not their fault how they look. Insulted people based on their behaviour plenty though, or criticised crazy plastic surgery.

Jesus, Phil. I was about to rage quit the thread, close my account and hunt you down there. After fishing my monocle out of my ginseng tea, I had time to read your edit and I've since calmed down considerably.

I'm still unsure. I definitely remember thinking she was amazing (love the eyes) but then being very disappointed to hear she was a faker.

Like Gemma Arterton. An absolute beauty, ruined by surgery.

Is that really what you think? I'd never have guessed

I've just been looking at a picture of Margot, trying to find some inspiration for a "hilarious" joke about her and I can't.

A wonderful looking woman. Each to their own of course but I cannot say anything bad about Harley Quinn in human form.

Agreed. Whenever I say that Margot is hot everyone instantly thinks of Wolf of Wall Street and thinks I'm a dirty beggar.

But the film that I most appreciate Margot in is not WOWS, it's Focus. Fully clothed most of the time apart from a brief bikini scene, but just absolutely stunning. I'm not even talking neck down. She has a beautiful face.

Glenda Gilson is not considered extremely attractive.

Just my opinion. And certainly on topic to the query in the thread title. Unlike say SJP who keeps being mentioned but rarely has been deemed “extremely attractive” by anyone. And to be clear I do not think she looks like a mutant. I just find her eyes a bit overpowering and her mouth has a whiff of Julia Roberts about it. I do think she is well cast in roles like Harley Quinn and Tanya Harding. There is a bit of a crazy vibe in her face.

Also nobody is “objectively good looking,” incoming protestations (in jest or otherwise) notwithstanding.
Whiff of Julia Roberts. "A bit of a crazy vibe in her face". What the hell. :D

Yeah Ryan Gosling has this weird eyelash. Ew!

Of course there are objectively good looking people. It's attractiveness that's subjective.

Matthew is a hero of mine for his drawl and film history. In that order. So to see him under Alex brought a tear to my eye.

It was Marty under Alex not Cohle. :pac:

Well she is beautiful alright, but I wouldn’t give her a bite of my apples... :D

(maybe a few sugar cubes :p)

It is very on topic to be fair.

IMO she's gorgeous but you can well imagine her standing over you with a knife as you wake up, bound to the bed with her silken scarves, her smile reminding you of an Australian Momo as you drift in and out of consciousness.

Later in the day you wake up, realising you are still bound and now gagged. The smell of barbecue perks up your nostrils...
"Maybe it was just a dream earlier, maybe I'm bound and gagged now as part of Margot's super sexy time, she's even preparing a meal for after".

You realise how foolish your latest thought is when you realise your penis is missing...the pain can only be compared to watching an old episode of Neighbours.

    Shrimp on the barbie indeed.

YES! I did it, screw you, Margot!

You'd need your penis to be in tact watching an old episode of Neighbours with a young hot Margot in it... in a school uniform no less!

You're very upset and angry. No need to be telling someone they're stupid repeatedly when they're not stupid.

What you keep insisting is the point of the thread, isn't at all - that's just made up by you.

The point of the thread is which people do you not get the hype over in terms of their looks. Not "pretend people we don't fancy are hideous".

And obviously there are objectively good looking people. And people who are objectively not lookers. And objectively plain people. Disingenuous beyond belief to suggest that's not true.

I think a good long repeat viewing session of that True Detective clip shows she is natural. Such a beautiful bounce could never be made by man.

    Fully agree on Arterton though.

Nonsense, there's lots of objectively good looking people. If a man doesnt think Gal Gadot or Jennifer Lawrence are gorgeous that's fair enough but a man saying there not good looking is kidding themselves

Guys. I will turn this thread around and bring ye straight home, I swear to God. Stop squabbling.

Someone mentioned her earlier - Glenda Gilson. Never saw what the attraction was. Another horse.

Think Johnnie Ronan said something about the horse features when they had the row outside the horseshoe bar.
Glenda responded with a good kick in the boll*x,funny enough Johnnie looks like an overweight piebald horse himself now I come to think of it.
So there,i have fitted horse three times in the one post, somebodys not going to be happy!!

I know - absolutely gorgeous. The attempts to make out objectively good looking people to be absolute mutants (just because of not personally fancying them) is hilarious!

But thats the point of this thread.[bangs head off table]

    No it isn't.

That's in your and the other ones' heads.

The OP even came back and said that wasn't what he had in mind with the thread.

Ok, I have to stop this now (for today). J-Law if you're reading this, I think you are gorgeous too and I absolutely would.

Page after page of "I don't personally fancy them but they're very good looking and I understand why other people fancy them" would get very old very quickly. I disagree with most of the posts here but I'm appreciating the creativity of language and not taking them literally.
