You think Iron Man/Tony Stark is a Democrat?

Have you seen his character arc in the last few movies?

He transformed from a war profiteer, materialistic, only interested in him self into a humanitarian and environmental activist

Anti war /anti military complex. Pro gun control

    Free green energy for everyone

And,He sacrifice s himself to save humanity and the Liberal order. That's pretty liberal

I can't remember which comic it was, but when framing his actual socio-political beliefs Steve Rogers would be a Republican. Small Government, low taxation, right to bear arms etc. As a person though, he's supposed to represent the 'ideal' version of America, free rights, freedom of religion, no racism/sexism etc

The modern political landscape, especially in the US, can't understand that Democrat =/= Liberal and Republican =/= right wing.

I'm still laughing at the OP's idea that Hilary Clinton is a liberal :pac:

    Never said that

If the makers of Avengers had to put an ending credits in "endgame", showing all the superheroes going to the polling booth, all of them would of voted for hillary Clinton. Captain America would have abstained

Mainly, because I'd imagine all these Super Heroes were created in a time where LGBTQ+ (or whatever the abbreviation is) wasn't really a thing.

Sure, there were gay people etc, but it wasn't wrote about, or displayed on tv etc. Like Superman was created in 1938. Batman in 1939.

If the movie makers want to stick to the creators original vision for these characters, their hands are somewhat tied.

All the super heroes in these movies are far left liberals. All the story lines are drenched in liberalism which focus on diversity, equality and saving the environment. Why no LGBT then? It doesn't make sense

How do you know there aren't?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Because there is no reference to it anywhere. In fact, there is a story of there being the first gay character in Avengers, in the last movie. He wasn't a super hero though

But they can empower women by changing captain marvel from a muscle bound man into a woman to empower women

Why can't they do that with a gay character?

Probably marketing and investment returns. It's Hollywood after all. Half the population are women, so a much bigger market than gay folks and gay women are more likely to dig it too.

Most super hero movies are aimed at a family audience ,if a film gets a
18 rating it will cut its potential audience a lot,
    hollywood likes money.
Once you have sex in a movie it potential audience is reduced .
A movie can have alot of violence and some bad language
and still be rated t for teen .
Also hollywood is making films for asia and china .
So they tend to have sex in the background if its mentioned at all .
IF you want to see films with complex characters and romance
with lgbt characters there lots of indie films on movie channels
and tv and netflix , streaming services .

Erm, you do realise literally every comic book character has been rebooted in some way over the last 80 years? Would be pretty dull to accept one version of any hero to be the be all and end all. We'd never have gotten the Dark Knight or event Burton era of Batman if we were to stick to that sort of vision. Plus X-Men literally came about as part of the civil rights movement and developed with each social movement.

    Have this problem sorted OP.

I've just finished writing a risqué screenplay in which Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Wonderwoman (Gal Gadot) succumb to the long-standing sexual tension between them and embark on a steamy relationship that'd make Christian Grey look like a bloody altar boy. Absolutely nothing is left to the imagination.

Hoping to get it funded soon.

All in the interests of fair representation obviously.

Can "Ireland" stop pushing the LGBT+- agenda down our throats via Rte and other media, 99% respect and acknowledge the gay community and its not an issue. Leo needs to relax a bit, it becoming embarrassing.

As far as I know, they don't refer to their heterosexuality either.

Can you link to or give me more details about the story (unless it has Endgame spoilers)?. Just curious - not doubting you.

And go back to pushing the straight nationalist agenda down your throat instead? Probably not.

It’s not a spoiler really, there is a character in the first 10 minutes of Endgame who talks about his boyfriend and then isn’t in the movie again after that nor was he in any other Marvel movie. He is not part of the story in any way. He was played by one of the directors of the movie.

They can reimagine captain marvel as a woman to empower women

Why can't they do the same for a gay character?

The political persuasion of well known super heroes

Superman = republican, from the heartland, strong advocate of American exceptionalism, big on clean living, compassionate Conservative

Spiderman = democrat, urban based, into science

Batman = independent, dark introverted, billionaire weirdo

    Hillary Clinton isn't far left.

Some people round here think she is apprently

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
