Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ya support band were on at half 7, times posted by the Academy were wrong I assume thats where poster above retrieved info, metal ireland forums and MCD showed 830 so ran with those to be safe.

Was a definite a number failed to be in on time as crowd noticeably filled up as 9 drew closer.

Blame it on the boom boom I'm one of those who soaks up that cheese :pac:

Tired of the Rain was indeed a nice surprise, not mad on the new stuff either but the title track is top class particularly the massive outro.

Yeah, I got the times from the academy’s Twitter.

I arrived just before 8.30 and was ordering a pint when BSC came on. I was a little surprised and hoped they were playing a longer gig.

How did people find the support band? Have seen them twice myself, always good to see local lads belt out some good songs with vigour. Couldn't make it to the limerick gig unfortunately

Saw them in Dolans last week and again at Download. Great band live.

Was probably my highlight of download after Ozzy.

Yeah and it was spot on for the 2 supports an all so was shocked was sorted for Blind Man I believe, Devils Queen was great to hear and actually thought the latest single was good despite not thinking much of it initially. Great show.

Skipped them this time, looks like virtually the same setlist as last year, I like Devil's Queen but I'm happier I got to see them do Tired of the Rain last year, would love to see them unearth The Bitter End or The Key, I like My Last Breath, it's one of the few songs I like off the last album.

Those blues covers they put out there are deadly.

New album The Human Condition out on the 30th October, they put out a new song yesterday, the last album had a few decent songs, but wasn't a fan of the country-fied vibe, this seems more in line with their classic sound.

Haven given the new album two listens I would say it's better than Family Tree already, seems more in line with their earlier albums and the country-fied vibe is gone, nice raw production as well.

Quite liking the new album. Definitely get the less country vibe although I looked Family Tree, Kentucky was probably my least favourite album.

Kentucky is also my least favourite album too. Was lukewarm to the direction in the last album all the same.

After 2 listens this seems a pretty good outing but perhaps doesn't have a song as strong as the stronger tracks of the last two say Way of the future or the Family tree title track.

Seems pretty front loaded with the best stuff at the start of the album some duds towards the end notably the ELO cover anyway.

Not familar with the original but I love this cover.

I love the original by Tracy Chapman, not fully sure on this version but I think it will grow on me.
