Watched the first episode of series three of stranger things and I'm liking it. Those kids have grown up a lot in two years though.
    Kinda expected though.
12 to 14 is a fairly noticeable difference in teenagers.

I didn't watch the first 2 seasons of Stranger Things. Will I be lost if I just start by watching Season 3?

    TIA

Why don't you just start watching Season 1?

Completely. And why not start at season 1??

Thanks for reply. I don't really want to get into a long, or short, debate about why I don't want to start watching season 1. It was just a simple question.

It would be too hard to figure out what is going on jumping in now.

Do you know the actor that is playing Rasputin? His face is so familiar.

He was in Coronation Street for a bit apparently, that be it?

I've just finished episode three of stranger things. Okay, now they are cooking with gas. This is good stuff so far.

It's a simple answer for any sequel to a serialised TV show. It's full of payoffs and developments from the previous 2 seasons worth of character and plot. It's not a labyrinth, but you might as well walk into the cinema halfway through a film for all the sense it makes.

Your reasons are your own for not wanting to watch season 1, but if you can't / won't then don't bother with season 3.

You can watch season 3 without watching the others. Nothing is too confusing.

Watching the last czars. It’s a mix between drama and documentary based on Nicholas II’s reign. Liking it so far, just one episode in.

I liked this a lot and binged through it. This mix of drama and documentary was done already for the three Ancient Rome series on Netflix and I think the Russian series is best of all. The accents are weird though especially Rasputin

Of course. Like I said it's not a labyrinth of plotting but it's still 2 seasons worth of developments and character arcs that are lost and a bit meaningless. The character of 11, who she is and her relevance to everything comes from those 2 seasons. Like I also said it'd be like coming into a movie halfway through. A waste of time apart from anything else

Is season 3 of Stranger Things an improvement on season 2?
Loved season 1 but thought season 2 was terrible

Yes it’s definitely more assured than season two was. I’m around four episodes in and enjoying it a great deal. We’re not talking top-tier prestige television and there’s plenty of justified criticism, but it’s lovingly crafted genre fare that’s clearly had the necessary extra bit of breathing space between seasons to get things right.

Real life Rasputin had a pretty dodgy beard, to be fair.

I don't think anyone was trying to debate your reasons. People were just curious as to what they were?
Surely you understand why. It's a strange way to watch a relatively short series.

Finished Stranger Things S3 last night,i thought it was good a big improvement on season 2,very well made with a great soundtrack once again, the first few episodes nothing was happening then the last few loads of things started happening,i dont know i think i just found it all boring, they will have to really change it for S4 maybe move it to the the 90's with a whole new cast and change the format, for me its gone stale...

    It is awful.

I read the book, which was really good, but the film is a mess. I think there was a lot of interference from the studio or something, can't remember exactly, but yeah, definitely a mess.

Wish Netflix had a decent range of movies from the 30s,40s,50s. There’s basically nothing there at all.

Sorry if it has been mentioned previously .

    I am into Episode 49 (of 60 ) of Undercover Law (2018) . Set in Columbia .

Female intelligence agents infiltrate the disparate aspects of a Colombian cartel in an attempt to take down the
drug lords and their associates. A Colombian product of characters who infiltrate the drug / narco scene to work
    undercover from the inside.

It is very very good , in fact it is excellent , great characters and story line.

It is in Spanish with English Subs .

    Trailer..

Funny enough I am on episode 49 of El Patron del mal - The Pablo Escobar Story. In spanish with English subtitles. Still over 20 episodes to go. I am watching on and off with nearly a year I would say.

    Great watch
