I dunno, that Merc is almost brand new.. worth close to that for an enthusiast I reckon. At least it doesn't say 'barn find' in the ad.

Somebody is scouring the UK for low mile one owner cars and flogging them here. They are a regular sight amongst 3 or 4 dealers

That car could still have new car smell it's so under used.

I could see someone going for that

I dont this this is worth the sniff of €10k. Sure there's some attention to detail involved, excuse the pun but the basis of it is a Caddy, slammed with alloys and a different rear bumper. €6-7k would be sensible.

I reckon it needs a springy CB aerial and an LED beacon to complete the package.. there's a market for that.. probably a lad in a Scania jacket who doesn't drive lorries

Lol. Just checked autotrader and you could buy 3 of them for ~€30k. You would still have to pay VRT but still..

Like a quick check even on carzone would not show what a total chancer price that is. It's not even dreamer price, it's delusion

    Had a look myself.
There are no other petrol cars for sale, all Diesel

    Most expensive one between 2010 and 2013 is a 131 with 61,155km for €24,950 off a dealer.

    Very pricey!

Have to disagree, it’s still a Golf, and an unmodified 5 door one will still make €4500-5500 all day long.

Now it’s not my sort of thing, but for your average ball bag this saves them the bother of buying fake scirocco wheels and JOM coilovers and all the other must-haves.

I agree with ya but you would surely pick up a Highline cheaper less all the tack of course!

You might, but the question here is if it will sell for close to the asking, to which I’d say it will.

Crewcab done to more recent (now defunct) specs without having the floor and exhaust to be hacked up like they were back in the day for the old regs.

    Still horrendous value though.

I would like to think I'm fairly clued up on average prices etc, what a car is worth but lately I'm seeing loads of stuff on Donedeal and thinking "surely that can't be right"

    Is this 12 grands worth?

Whatever about the price I personally find it suspect that they have several almost professional style photos of the rear but the front is only barely visable in shadow in poor photos.
Why not take the same quality frontal shots when the back ones were taken

Seen this ad linked over on backroads and was going to post the exact same thing, pretty dodgy.

I would personally stay away from any ad where the owner is happy to accept a swap deal - generally only boy racers put this kind of ad up.

The seller must think these are highly desirable here in Ireland or something ? I remember back in the late 80's , my neigbour had one of these Ladas, once day me and a few of my friends helped her push start it out of the estate. Funny memories lol.

I think this guy probably has this thing advertised all over Europe just to see what idiot would actually pay that, then he will ship it there.

Car seems to be in Ireland to be fair.

Lots of his stuff is optimistic.

Is this really a €15k car? Sure, it's clean, low mileage and a bit of Alfa tax added to it, but €15k? I could be wrong in fairness.

I know 994 prices are going crazy.
That’s a less desirable one, and with them hitting 30 years, there’s no prohibitive VRT to keep Irish price stronger than UK

I don’t know much about Porsches though.

I know it’s auto but that would be a smart buy. They’re rare and will shoot up in value once it hits 30 years old. It’s also unmolested which adds to the appeal.

Ferio body though. Wherever it ends up it’s a guarantee it’ll have a DOHC engine and a manual bolted to it. You should see what those are making!

Summer 2000 I bought a motorbike and the same garage dabbled in cars. A manual version of that civic , colour was turquoise though and they wanted 9500 for it. I even laughed back then at the price as it was a 95 .At the time the same model civic hatchback model was a nice thing to have on tsw alloys, even if it was a 1.4.....Before getting the bike I remember ringing Quinn direct aged 20 for a quote on said civic and they said 4.5k...... I fell off the motorbike a month later in proper style
