    An ugly one.

That's the first time (I recall) that I've seen a bike frame where the chain doesnt thread through the rear triangle. Is there any gravel-relate design reason for this?

Being 1x and presumably narrow/wide chain, is there a logic in being able to swap out rear wheel, chain and crank in one easy move?

Maybe its just a hideous shocker.....

It is to allow for a shorter wheel base and accommodate wider tyres, so they claim.

And yes, there is also the innovative raised drive-side chain stay, which gives the bike its signature look. That raised chain stay allows the Able to support up to a 700c x 47mm tire (or 650b x 47mm), and to boast a short and aggressive wheelbase.

Kirk revolution is one that springs to mind. A friend of mine had one. Doesn't belong in this thread though IMO

Sorry, you're wrong. It's in the correct thread.
They were heavy, flexy as f**k and broke, if you looked crooked at them.

Looks like something you'd find in the gutter of Harcourt St at 4AM. Kill it with fire.

    They were truly awful.
As far as I remember, they came in one size only. There was also a road version, which was pretty much identical to the MTB. It just had a different setup for road brakes.

It's like every other component has been specifically selected to annoy the frame.

But I have no sympathy, because that's ugly too.

Except there is no logic to that claim.
    Its a gimmick

I dunno, the fact that the chainstay is above the chainwheel, means it could be wider than the BB. This would allow wider wheels/tyres? Can't tell from the photo...we'd need to see it from above.

But the BB is the widest part. Even without seeing the photo from above, you can see the chainless chainstay has to bend around in order to meet the seat tube. That's a weakness, and increases flex in the frame. Just to get the same width (that was already there lower down at the BB) back again.

Is that even rideable? The rake on the front forks makes it look like a hobby horse. It looks like a death trap..

That's it mods, you can close the thread. I need a young priest and an old priest for that bike

I like the security feature. The clasp on the nose of the saddle can be activated by a phone app. If somebody tries to rob the bike, you can activate it remotely and the nose of the saddle flicks up, throwing off the rider. And if its a male, possibly inflicting painful damage to his genitalia.

Why has nobody commented on the wheels?

Have to say that I though of Indurain’s TT Pinarello when I saw that frame.

that's like being asked what brand of watch the person who mugged you was wearing, to be fair.

I know Lumen & apologies to all... Indurain’s bike doesn’t deserve to be posted here!

The wheels themselves are okay, I have a set of ea90 slx myself and they are decent. I'm not sure about the red tyres, or the cross-chaining indicating a pretty taught chain.

Yet again we have another example of what would happen if you got someone who had never seen a bicycle design one from a badly translated description of same. Or maybe the paper got jammed in the printer and the crumpled up page was sent to the frame builders.
