Ref should have added another 2 minutes for the stoppages at the end but fair play to Galway. Unbelievable game.

Play was stopped for half of the 4 minutes injury time.
    Kilkenny fans wont be happy.

That was edge of the seat stuff!

The play was stopped for a minute in that stoppage time. Referee should have allowed it to go on for another 30 seconds or so.

There was two more minutes to be added,

A gee hair between them at the end.

Was more stoppage time there than was played by the ref.

    Galway nearly threw that away.

Serious game of hurling. 2 minutes lost to take the free,l though ref should have added it on at the end. Could be crucial.

Galway's cynical play rewarded. Non stop fouling in the last quarter, kicked Aylward and started a scuffle, 2 yellows, Aylward off. Again, over 2 and a half minutes of injury time wasted booking Galway players after the last free.

And they say football has problems with cynical play..

When was the last time Kilkenny conceded 3-17 from play in championship in Nowlan Park I wonder?

Wexford Park next week is going to be electric.

That ref should have played at least 2 more minutes. Probably more.

Galway were cute in breaking up the play in the last while

Cracking game of hurling although the last 10 minutes were quite scrappy.

Kilkenny just don’t get beaten easily. That’s just down to Cody and his motivation. Galway get the crucial points and while they played some great stuff at times I thought they were very naive in those last 10 minutes and didn’t use the spare man well at all.

BTW, I couldn't care less who won today, but the comments about the cynical play, primarily from the Galway side and it being rewarded, stand.

Hate when gibberish like that is spouted out, kk would have played very little there in championship hurling. Same rubbish was spouted last year when Clare bet tipp in thurles, for first time in 80 years. Games between the two would have been in cork

It's a guaranteed free or score every time TJ gets the ball

Game of the year so far!
Hard to analyse that, both teams have a lot to work on.
Galway are still very inconsistent, could have easily lost.
Kilkenny far too reliant on TJ Reid again.

Hopefully Dublin can knock Kilkenny out next weekend.

If Flynn was taken off frees half way through the first half Galway would have walked away with that. With Canning back and Mannion moving to midfield they'll be a serious force. Few lads not hurling well like Daithi but a few more weeks and that could change

That was epic KK are unreal they never give up Galway just about deserved it. Thought ref who I thought did well might have played a bit more x tra time. TJ Reid unplayable what a player

Imagine Galway played a weakened team confident that Wexford will beat Kilkenny and thus knocking them out of the championship.

Looking beyond the province, a Leinster title would mean less to Galway than Wexford or Dublin. But Kilkenny out of the picture would be a huge boost.

Galway don't care if Kk are still there. They don't fear them anymore. Mean more to Cork or Tipp if they're out of the picture.

Biggest Clare/Limerick game since that game in 96

Clare have missed 2 good goal opportunities, they really cany afford to that.

Still an ocean liner sized space in Clare's defence at times too.
    5 point difference already.

Yes, he took ages to try to take the last chance. Not going to get loads of time at this level. Now Clare 5 points down
