    A few bob then

Living in a nice part of town

    Pontificating

Not fighting for housing, school places and hospital beds

Reverse snobbery right there. Youre wrong anyways, my family is below the income line and I had to take out loans for college. My parents are a mix of blue collar workers and semi-skilled professionals.

The only difference is, we don’t blame immigrants for our hardships.

    Cringe.

Doing ‘chores’ for pocket money counts as an important job now? I should include that on my linked in profile. :)

This is something only old people find funny.

Im surprised your carer lets you use the web

Surprised your parents haven’t a parental control lock on your device. Get back to the books or you will fail again, then no more pocket money.

Multiculturalism is a myth Colonization is what is going on here, little to no integration takes place open boarder is ravaged here by many who have no interest in being Irish but all clamour for Irish citizenships.

Land of 100,000 welcomes unless you're native that is. :(

Nothing like it. I find it strange I have to point that out to somebody I presume is a fellow Irish national.

Globalist business leaders who demand that growth continues at all costs, they'll even import people to keep the line on the chart going to the north-east!
If we didn't import all these people there would be no housing crisis and many other countries wouldn't be impoverished by haemorrhaging all their brightest and most motivated people.

You can right click and find synonyms for cringe if you don’t want to be repeating yourself.

Sounds like you’re blaming capitalism. Would you endorse socialism then?

I didn't say that, there are other economic models out there, ones that are not dependent on infinite growth.

It's basically a case of changing how the financial system works, instead of lending money into existence and paying interest that enforces infinite growth id needed to make the repayments.
The alternative is to spend into existence and tax out the money if there is too much in the system, this method is not dependant on infinite growth.

Until around the early 18th century, almost all countries had some form of spend into existence monitory system, usually based on precious metals.

Is multiculturalism good? is it bad?

that depends. is it good or bad in and of itself? i dont think so.

if you write in the culture section of the Irish Times and an influx of ethnic minorities results in cool new restaurants you can eat in while your cheap nanny minds the kids and there isnt a snowballs chance in hell of "non nationals" competing for your job or housing...then yes, multiculturalism is good.

Thats funny. The same people who predicted the 2008 recession also said that immigrants (and poor people) will be blamed. To be honest, you’re seeing the trees for the forest.

Would a commodity-backed currency remove social problems, as you posit? Money doesnt have intrinsic value, but neither does gold. High-level economics doesnt even differentiate the old system from fiat. Really the only difference is commodity backed currency leaves a nation very vulnerable to economic attacks.

If there is a concerted effort to exploit the nation (a conspiracy you could say) then commodity based on / volatile resource would bring Ireland back to the stone age.

I said that was how it used to be, money only has value if the users trust it, The problem is that having a debt based economy that requires infinite growth to repay the debt simply means that as the developed world's population has stabilised, the system would stagnate and det would never be repaid.

The solution has been to import people to ensure the growth continues. The alternative would have been to change from a debt based system which creates money from debt, to one that creates money to spend into the system, this lubricates the economy and is eventually taxed out when it floats to the top and is not in use any more.

Right now debt spaves are working as hard as possible to make the money flow to the top as fast as possible. Importing cheap labour speeds up this process further.

Ah thanks for the concise answer. So immigrants aren’t to blame, as you say. But whoever set up the banking system is.

The majority of rapes in Sweden are committed by non EU migrants (you can read this on the BBC)

Maybe mass importing the third world into Europe is not such a good idea?

For some that is hard to swallow.

Do you think it's in any way sane or normal that the Germans tried to suppress knowledge of the NYE sex attacks? Or when the Swedish media and police covered up sexual violence committed by migrants at music festivals?

    Do you think that's right?

Gold does. Gold is a useful metal - McLaren used it in their cars and it's used in the manufacture of spacecraft. True enough though that it's ridiculously overpriced because of its considered value due to hoarding and use as jewellery.
