    Where is this happening...links please.
Links to what? Look at the news on Irish tv or radio and you'll see that they are taking sides on every story.
I've been in a car where there was a three way discussion on the radio about Donald Trump with all three against him. That's typical if Irish media these days. Unless they can find somebody on the opposite side of an issue who is less intelligent than their side he won't get air time.
The only time you don't get that to the same extent is during an election debate although the host does still try to favour his preferred candidates.

How many political pundits or politicians in Ireland are 'pro' Trump? Name them.

I don't know if there's any but it doesn't matter, you have to have an intelligent two-sided discussion if you expect unbiased, intelligent people to tune in.

I liked that he called out the travellers that didn't take the accommodation built for them so i voted for him for presidency as a protest vote, but this whole welfare tourist thing is just a cheap trick and now I think he's a gobsh*te. He's no politician. A Eurodealz Trump.

I am fully on favour of free speech. I'm against people threatening others not to air their views.

    ‘Threatening’?

Freedom of speech does not mean freedom of speech without consequence. You can’t just say whatever you want and expect people to sit there and go ‘ok, you can get away with that’.

I fully agree with you that he is not a politician.
I am voting for him to give a kick up the arse to our major parties. I'm hoping he gets elected at the expense of a candidate from one of the major parties. It's time they realised that the rural electorate are fed up of them not listening.
And I'm of the opinion that they are all clueless anyways. Who knows, a man with a good business history might be more useful in Europe if he goes and learns about what's necessary to do the job.

It's ok to have conversation but a gang shouting down a guy and labelling him because he has a different opinion is bullying no matter which side does it.

I totally respect that. My whole agenda tomorrow is to vote for anyone who's not FF or FG, just to try something different for once.

You’ve cut out two of my posts in your quotes without addressing them, why?

Casey is not in my constituency, but I've spent a couple of days trying to pick a candidate to do the same thing, as with the local elections. Terrible it has to come to that

So they would have to invent a point of view to satisfy that criteria?

It is no wonder you think there is a conspiracy to 'silence' the great Casey and his ilk.
There isn't, there just are not that many people in politics who think like him.

I live in the heart of rural Ireland and there are many problems that people who 'actually work' in those communities have no problem addressing and talking about.
The biggest problem in rural Ireland I find are those who sit on various fences, criticise every initiative and resolutely refuse to get involved...but will be the first to whinge if an initiative fails.

They exist in your head. Traveller crime has been talked about for years in the media.

Traveller crime is absolutely not mentioned in the media, not once has it been pointed out that the Drogheda crisis involves travellers

Local councils already have a majority who isn’t FF/FG.

DCC has Sinn Féin with the most seats already.

Well that is clearly nonsense, plenty more articles about it specifically mentioning travellers

I showed this was a nonsense before

Here are the google results if you put 'traveller crime' in the search field.

It is mentioned here that the problem in Drogheda involves travellers.

He called out Irish Travellers with a misplaced sense of entitlement.
But you shouldn't call out welfare tourists... because...?

Were your people slavers in W. Africa back in the day? Did they shoot people as part of the Raj? Did ye make yeer wealth off a plantation in Brazil? Do you feel guilt in that respect? In what respect do you feel that Ireland owes welfare tourists and people who fraudulently claim asylum here?

    He is right. Again.
And unpopular again as a result in 'woke' media circles.

I am in fair of tightening immigration, with the biggest issue being the non-execution of deportation notices. That is farcical. However, I think Casey is making the argument terribly. If he were making the argument cogently, I think he'd hit 15% FPV no problem.

The issue is, he has touched on the occasional right thing down to his intuition or something, but he lacks the ability to make something approaching a coherent campaign point.

I still think he will take 10-12% FPV and if he gets the upper end of that, he will be in the running, especially if it's Smyth who he takes votes from which I think is likely.

It seems Fine Gael have gone the other way and have gone for the non politician celebrity with Maria Walsh. People complain about Casey being populist while FG, an established party have chosen someone who's been nowhere for the past 5 years, not involved in any campaign or community and has 0 real world knowledge or experience that would benefit us in the EU parliament.

I'll be voting no.1 for The Peter to try and stop Walsh getting in! My real no.1 vote is Ming but I know he's getting in so I'll give my no.1 to Casey.

Walsh is a spoofer, Casey must triumph.
