Forgive my lack of awareness, but why did sony pull out of E3? Are they doing a Nintendo? :pac:

Sony are above all these other cretins peddling their wares.

For EA, I'm hoping for an EA UFC 4, NBA Live 20 Skate 4 announcement.

Xbox should take full advantage of no Sony competition and expecting a strong Xbox One 2 720 announcement. The might have Cyberpunk to show off as well

Bethesda, I'm expecting The Todd to come out smiling to an audience of grown men in tears at the mere sight of him. Lies will follow.

Ubisoft may have the AC Vikings and Watch Dogs London to show off.

    Square Enix, FF7 info!

Nintendo, haven't been interested in that since my Snes was retired.

All I want is a new From Software announcement. Their games are digital crack.

Square Enix can't be as forgettable as last year, surely. I expect a flat E3 overall. Bethesda are nuts for holding a conference. Last year they teased 2 games that we know are way off.
It's nearly the end of this generation & most companies are powdering their noses so to speak. Nintendo are focussing on 2019 & Microsoft's cloud stuff might be a larger focus than new games. It's a bit early for them to showcase next gen if it's not until 2020 So they'll likely show Gears 5 & maybe show a small bit more of Halo Infinite.

I'd love a new Fight Night tbh. I always enjoyed those more than the UFC games even tho I've far more interest in MMA than boxing.

George R R Martin is reportedly working with From.

I think your times are off by a few hours. Bethesda is 1.30am, Ubisoft is 9pm, Square Enix is 2am, Nintendo is 5pm, PC Gaming is 6pm and Microsoft is 9pm.

Just had a look and I found 3 conflicting Timetables for this year FFS. Will update my original post. Thanks man.

Checked another 2 and they were different again, GamesRadar has us 6 hours ahead on one day and 5 hours ahead the next!

If their conference isn't 'hacked' by Dedsec, I'll be disappointed

If said game can have robots in it that'd be nice.

Those "conferences" are an acid trip in digital form. Always a highlight from the E3 season.

Looking forward to Nintendo, have seen a few "leaks" already, and if half of what they say is to be believed then going to be some nice stuff coming (leaks prob all BS though)

EA (who arent doing a conference, just their livestreams of their play area), would imagine they will show either a new Battlefield (or will it be Star Wars Battlefront 3 this year; do they alternate now?) and probably footage of that Star Wars Jedi game they teased a few weeks back. Oh and FIFA/Madden/insert American sport brand here 2020. Just give me Garden Warfare 3, such a criminally neglected series.

MS will prob be Halo Infinite (meh) but they also usually have a few nice 3rd party games showing so will see what crops up. Rare Replay on PC being the highlight....right, MS? Cmon....just this one little thing, its all I ask.

Bethesda......oh Todd, you and your sweet sweet lies! Jokes about how Fallout 76 had a "rocky" launch and either Starfield vid or more Elder Scrolls 6 teases. Oh and Doom Legacy "live" playthrough, cannot wait to get me mitts on that game.

Ubisoft, "Show all the open worlds!", maybe more on BG&E2 (actual gameplay?) and maybe another out of left field collab with Nintendo (after Mario & Rabbids and the Starfox crew in Starlink)

PC Gaming...gets a lot more stick than it should, sure it can be a bit sluggish at times but a fair few good games get shown at it. Not having to stay up till about 1am to watch it is also a boon.

Was thinking there's nothing really coming from Sony that I'm dying for. Then I remembered TLOU2 and stared into space for about 15 minutes.

Cyberpunk is the big one for me again this year. Also looking forward to gameplay footage for Jedi: Fallen Order and an announcement on From's next game. SE finally showing something of their Avengers project would be nice. And yeah, Devolver's show is usually a highlight.

Sony will just do their own event which will cost them less money and they won't have to compete for whatever the digital equivalent of "column inches" is. E3 has become about as relevant as sending a letter - sure it's nice, but you could get the same information in a more convenient manner from an email.

After the garbage Sony show last year that probably cost millions going fir the Nintendo direct option is a no brainer for Sony. Nintendos directs have been hugely popular and at a fraction of the cost. E3 just gets less relevant every year.

As an Xbox gamer, I feel like E3 this year is going to be more important than even for Microsoft. They need to bring a proper show with clear information about the future. They also need decent exclusives. I believe that in the past 3-5 years Sony have had the better exclusives. Microsoft cannot keep banking on Halo and Gears of War.

I didn’t like the female character (or any of them ) in gow 4 and she’s the main character for 5.... so I’ve no interest

Devolver are genius with E3, host a fake conference with face crowd noises and footage, the content is funny, crazy as over the top whole the host, who is brilliant, nails her performance with a serious, almost angry presentation. Amy game they show, I will definitely give a look see and whole thing must cost very little.

They probably will this year, along with a new Forza Motorsport. No point making an impressive new IP with next gen just around the corner.

I really like devolves business of curating in due games. It's almost a mark of quality.

I think MS have definitely been doing better at the last few E3s, but they've definitely been over-reliant on buying rights for trailers/reveals/announcements rather than being able to show their own games. With their huge announcement last year of the studios they've bought or created, I would hope to see the number of exclusives they're able to show increase, especially since they don't have to compete with Sony for reveals/surprises. Use it as a proper showcase of "This is what Xbox has to offer you".

I'm very happy with the job Phil Spencer is doing at Xbox. I just hope they have some exclusives coming up that I want to play as the only Xbox exclusives I like at the moment are the Forza games.

I'm just looking forward to Bethesda's conference. I wonder if Todd will be there or if he's still in hiding from the 76 fiasco. Might be the first time he gets a frosty reception.

The next Xbox will play older games and vice versa, so the new IP will be for the "Xbox Family of consoles", not just a single new console. Consoles are just mini PC's now so games just differ with additional Graphics level settings like PC games but are decided in run-time by the console OS not by the user like on PC.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,577 ✭✭✭Mr Crispy

Piotr Nielubowicz, CFO at CD Projekt RED, talked about a "line-up" of games at E3 this year. Cyberpunk will be front and centre, but I wonder if they'll say anything about this other AAA RPG they're working on. Wouldn't be surprised if it's set in the Witcher universe.

They should cancel it, how are Nintendo even been mentioned at this yoke when they do their own. Let EA and the usual rubbish show their latest Cod and Fifa for the kids and man babies
