what time would people advise queuing in the olympia to get pit passes? never tried before

10-15 mins before doors open is more than enough.
Was in the pit for Manics the other night, we joined the queue at 6.45 for doors at 7.

    ?

When would they intend announcing / selling tickets for this one. Would be unprecedented.

It would be and it's pretty short notice, but maybe it's to do one over the touts?

I mean, if it's stated on the support bands page and on the above link, then there could be something to it, announcement after lunchtime perhaps?

Not a hope this would work, it would be a terrible idea.
I'd imagine its a mistake on the support bands page, and songkick picked it up from there.

I think that too, but it would be great if it did happen.

I don't think so, I think it would be a disaster

They would never sell enough tickets. There would be NO atmosphere in the room. Even if you did grab a ticket, it would be fairly bad experience.
Or it would get cancelled anyway as they would not sell enough tickets. The gig is in 2 days, it would not work at all.
How do you think it would be good?

The support bands page is just using the Songkick listings though?

    Then songkick made a mistake.

It would sell tickets certainly, there's any amount of people who would snap up a ticket for a Dublin date believe me, back in Feb they easily could have announced two dates and they would have sold out.

But yeah, it's short notice realistically for a lot of fans.

Had another look at the support band page there, they don't mention the Belfast date w/ Alice, so likely they got the dates mixed up.

Back in Feb totally agree, 2 days before the show, not a hope.

It’s just dealing with touts that would put me off

That just encourages them though :(

I don't understand why people don't use Toutless. 2 tickets on there last night for 90 minutes before they were snapped up. All you have to do is set up a notification alert for the thread and you're sorted.

That poster probably got inundated with PMs though. Demand far outweighs supply in the case of this gig

That poster also wants 178 quid per ticket...

I've never given a cent to a tout (apart from TM) and never would.

Sure how much would touts be charging? if anything like Viagogo it will be mental prices

There's not too many gigs these days for which tickets do not become available close up to the time of the gig. I would never have thought Alice in Chains would be the one.
Used to love them, but never got back into them after Staley died. Must give the newer stuff a twirl. Might seem like a silly question on a forum dedicated to them, but, any good?
