Yes they do! I used to worry that I’d constantly have to have to sit staring at my phone but they’re fairly sound about it.

There isn’t usually an intake in July (unless that has changed due to the need for officers) so I suspect August will be the next date.

I really hope so, just worries me as they only definitively confirmed training courses starting April May and June.

Seeing as this is the most used thread at the moment and cabt really see anything about it elsewhere.
I am wondering if anyone knows once you are in and passed out do you have the option of taking your weapon home as personal protection? I've heard yes but I'm not 100% convinced.

I am just about to go down the route of getting a firearms licence for a PPW but might not bother if the above applies.

Calm your ham, it was only a question. And now that it's been answered it is now one you don't need to ask further down the line.

Pretty valid question tbh mate. Not all people are in the know.

Yes you can take it home.

But some peelers don't. And some get a PPW firearms cert to get something a bit less obtrusive to carry.

My friend (peeler) takes theirs home a lot of the time. I think I probably would too given the opportunity. I’m already a certified firearms holder for sporting as well.

Lived with the threat my entire life matey.

Bouncing on someone for asking an innocent question that is already well known to those who wish us harm, under the guise of "security risk" is quite bad taste.

We are here to support one another in a very lonely process. No need for it at all.

Hi all,

Just got results for 1810 AC, passed with 65 so hopefully i’ll get through ok.

Anyone know roughly how long it took for mid sixties result in the 1710 campaign from ac result to appointment as a student officer?

I reckon at least a year??

Well done!65 is a good score.
Your merit list position would be a better indicator of how soon you’ll be called but a year would be a decent estimate to start with

It all depends on how others scored, I got high sixties in 1710 and was fast tracked so it’s hard to tell

Yeah fair point, my mate got 70 and hasn't been fast tracked this year, but maybe they are fast tracking far less this time round as 1710 was first campaign in a few years. Thanks for the reply !
