Th My mam brought me out for lunch today for my birthday and I always try to steal a couple of her chips by telling her to look over there mam and she always looks over but always catches me stealing one and says "ahh go way outta that now " and slaps my hand away jokingly but today she caught me and said "ok seeing as its your birthday I'll let you away with it" 😀 😀 :3.

Now I'm really not religious, but I'm sitting here almost in tears over something that I really needed to see at the end of a really tough day and week, emotionally and professionally.

Work is really hard at the moment and life is really hard at the moment. I'm confused, hurt, disappointed, dejected and a little bit disenfranchised for a whole host of reasons.

And then I logged into my online banking to do some general housekeeping, pay a few bills, and noticed that my bank balance is insane. I got paid twice the commission I thought I would this quarter, way earlier than I expected, and just in time to make a few things a lot less stressful.

I know it's just money, and fundamentally doesn't change anything. But tonight it's more than that. It's a light on a dark day. And a sign that things will always be grand in the end.

Anyway. Sorry for the poetic nonsense. I really needed something good to happen today.

Seeing my dog sitting on the back of her chair looking out the window at me as I walk up the driveway with her tail going 90 miles an hour.

Dogs are great you can leave the house for 5 mins or 5 hours and get the same reaction when you arrive back.

Hearing my kids laugh and also getting greeted by my dog.

When I was headed back to work with the outside tea break yummies, a family walked out of a local chipper in front of me.
I managed to miss the mammy types and the young girls, the little boy(7 approx) was so busy sucking on his soft drink and dragging his feet, that I couldn't predict his route and I tripped over him, put my hand out to stop myself falling, which scraped my palm.

One of the mum types rounded on me aggressively and asked what was I doing TO her child, I explained the situation and she called me clumsy, I responded that im dyspraxic and not clumsy. Quick as a wink she responded that I should take more care cause he has PMS:) !

*no sign of the child being pubescent or transgender.

I’m off work until Monday, it’s a beautiful day, I have tag rugby training this evening, seeing Avengers: Endgame tomorrow and going out tomorrow night with the tag crew. Then going to Duleek at the weekend to see good friends. Life is pretty good right now :)

My little terrier absolutely adores my mam. Like completely over the top loves her. Everytime we call over to her house (which is very regularly) he has the biggest, happiest, yappiest, greeting for her!

But the funniest thing is days like today where I'm out and about with mam, running a few errands and we bring him along. He's with her for hours but when we get back to her house and he literally walks in the door beside her, he still turns and gives her his big happy, yappy greeting like he hasn't seen in her months!

    He's a funny little fella!
