    I want one. Now. Please.

Guesstimate it won't be cheap, but on the plus side the only maintence might be via a quick burst of the garden hose once a week or so.

There are cheaper alternatives, if you've an old Sat dish sitting about, although care should be taken to ensure it's convex (reverse/outside) not the concave, to avoid 'parabolic cooking' anything that crosses it's focal point.

    Yup is it.
Non-slip loop knot. A fishing knot, doesn't weaken the line the same a figure of 8 does.

^^^ What other way do people put bags in bins?!

They "dip" the whole bag in and then stretch it around the edges.

What does the water drop symbol mean? What difference would wetting it make?

If you dampen a rope (one made of natural materials, especially), it contracts and stiffens as it dries.

If it was taken from a fishing site, you need to lubricate monofilament fishing line or the friction caused when pulling the line tight will cause it to melt slightly weakening the line/knot.
Bit of spit is what's usually used.

I'm gobsmacked by some of these
wine glass as a dip receptacle for crisps
    duvet cover lifehack
start a fire with a battery and tinfoil
check for dud batteries by bouncing them
    sticky notes to clean keyboard

The tinfoil spoon is gross, imagine the dust, dirt, and pawprints on it. You'd need to wash it, first.
