Shirley Cardiff need to try at least to get a point. Just put 11 men in the box and never leave it. That could possibly get them a point. Leicester done it to us at home, restricted us to 3 shots on target by sitting very deep ,we had 75% of the ball and no where to go. Cardiff need to try that for their own sake.

Pretty much what 90percent of teams do against city anyway.

Need Arsenal to keep winning. It will force Utd and Spurs to have to get something vs City.

Agreed but read today that Utd would be better off missing out on CL next season so that it stops Liverpool winning the league.

I heard Utd will forfeit the game by playing Patrice Evra as a homophobic full back.

The money men there won't stand for that.

Question is do the players have the ability.

Lascelles making Lovren look like VVD really not good enough.

Pity we didn't sign Lacazette when we had a chance under the previous manager he looks top drawer now he is settled into the league.

Benteke, Lambert & Mario signed instead.

Oh, and VVD is the one truly world class player we have. World class is a very arbitrary and debatable term. Suarez was undebatably world class, there are probably others over the past 20 years you could debate were world class...but you can't debate VVD, he just is.

Gerrard was most definitely world class. Torres salah 'coutinho and others arent/werent on that level

It's funny but I was never that impressed with Torres pre-Liverpool and he had gone off the boil when he left but for a short window he was exceptional

Allison got away with a couple of howlers again the weekend, confidence still high with him around here?

i said a month or so that he will cost liverpool games, and at this stage , when he does it will end up costing the league.

Are you just ignoring all the points he's saved us to date though?

Confidence definitely still high. Best keeper we’ve had in a long long time.

Torres was certainly world class in his first 3 season's then injury took there tool,
He was all about explosiveness and the injuries robbed him of that ,

Rafa set the team up to isolate Torres v their cb and he ran them ragged . He had pace, movement and was unbelievably clinical.

The weekend was strange one for Alisson he normally recovers from any mistakes, as he made a mess of a easy ball early on he tried to collect near Trents feet and never recovered at all,

He is still a top clas keeper,

I could be wrong but I can't recall him costing us any points this season ?

I've never said he's won us many games. You said that.

What he has done is conceded the fewest goals in the league so far this season. Less than half the amount De Gea has conceded, he's been better than any of the other new top 6 keepers in the league. Most clean sheets as well. Wasn't even shown on the BBC graphic for keeepers whos mistakes have led to goals the other night.

So not to bad for someone who's "error prone".

Think he's got the highest save % in the league also?

    Dude is elite

Got us a point at Chelsea,
Got us a win at Burnley
Got us the result we need v Napoli or we'd been out ,
Got us a point at Old Trafford ,

That's just off the top of my head sure there many more ,

Comparing clean sheets would also have a huge comparison on defenders. And Liverpool's defence is definitely better than Uniteds

Comparing goalkeeper stats is always going to be difficult. Easiest stat to look at is always clean sheets but surely shots to goal ratio is a factor but then sh1ter teams will likely have more saves.
