Have you seen Fargo? It's excellent. Ozark also very good.

Ozark I've seen, Fargo I haven't but it seems very dark, is it?

I didn't think so anyway. One of the best on Netflix imo.

Fargo is excellent. Although season 3 was nowhere as good as seasons 1 and 2. Season 2 was my favorite. Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons were superb in it. Wasn’t crazy bout Ewan Mcgregor in season 3.
It’s very similar to the movie in terms of style and storytelling.
Season 4 I heard will have Chris Rock as the main star and be set in the early 1930/40s I think. Think it will be out later this year.

Is Fargo not the one where the main detective is pregnant and it's dark most of the day or am I mistaking it?

Set in 1950s, and won't be released until sometime in 2020.

In the film she's pregnant all the way through. Different characters in the series, but in first season she is pregnant for part of it. Not dark, bleak maybe, and very white from the snow.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

    Different characters in the series
All one timeline supposedly, though. Chronologically:

    Chapter I: Season 4 - 1950s
    Chapter II: Season 2 - 1979
    Chapter IV: Film - 1987
    Chapter IX: Season 1 - 2006
    Chapter X: Season 3 - 2010

It’s very dark in terms of malevolent human behaviors, be that gangsters mostly or ordinary people who make 1 wrong decision and then end up making more and more bad decisions in trying to get themselves out of their unplanned situations. It’s exactly the same type of storyline as the film, and the film is a classic.
Billy Bob Thornton in season 1 was another tv highlight, best thing he has done in long time.

Just finished the F1 documentary series Drive to Survive.

Highly enjoyable. Nice mix of insight and entertainment. 40 minute episodes as well, not as taxing as the hour long marathons.

    Really, really good.

Anyone got a recommendation for a good crime drama? I've finished everything I can see on Netflix on the moment.

Delhi Crime is a hard watch by the way, but worth it in the end.

Watching Case on Channel 4 player, Icelandic crime drama. Only 3 episodes in but it's very good so far.

    The Highwaymen (2019)

New film added to Netflix today. I only watched it because of Woody Harrelson, I couldn't give a crap about Kevin Costner. This was a very preachy movie, about how not to idolise criminals like Bonnie and Clyde. Which is a stupid message, as it's human nature to be fascinated with certain unique criminals. It's like earlier this year with the Netflix Ted Bundy documentary, and some feminists online shaming other women for having Bundy fantasies, or serial killer fantasies in general. A fantasy, or interest, in criminals is just that. At one point, Costner's character beats up a guy for basically giving his opinion on Bonnie and Clyde. I did not enjoy this film.

Would the Formula 1 docu series be of interest to someone who's not a fan? I usually enjoy all sports documentaries regardless of whether I watch the sport or not but there are a few that only really appeal to the fans (which is fair).

Zero interest in F1. Loved this.

When is Jane the Virgin season 5 on Irish Netflix, please? I saw online that it was to be added yesterday but there are no new episodes yet.

My wife doesn't really get sports at all.
Few years ago she wondered how the F1 cars were still going round the track weeks later :pac:

And yet, she really enjoyed the show.

It's been the same the last few seasons shown weekly in UK and we have to wait ages in Ireland. I think I read that some other Irish network has the rights, but they've never shown it.

It is a telenovella about a virgin called Jane who is accidentally artificially inseminated :p. I like it a lot. I fell in love with the characters. There are lots of heart warming, tear jerking, funny and dramatic moments.
